MW3 Zombies Season 3 Reloaded features a NEW Dark Aether Rift. Once players complete the NEW Story Mission, they will be able to unlock the NEW Rift. Players can re-enter the Dark Aether in MWIII Zombies season 3 Reloaded if they complete an EASTER EGG in Urzikstan. Here’s everything we know about entering the NEW Dark Aether Rift Easter Egg in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Season 3 Reloaded:
HOW TO ENTER 3RD DARK AETHER IN MW3 ZOMBIES
To enter the NEW Dark Aether Rift, you must complete a hidden quest added in Season 3 Reloaded. Much like the Season 2 Quest, it requires you to find 4 artifacts and upgrade 3 of them. Placing them on 4 NEW pedestals will allow you to spend sigils to enter the second Dark Aether rift. Here’s how to complete the Hidden Quest:
DARK AETHER ARTIFACTS
You must collect 4 Artifacts. Three are found in Urzikstan & one is found from completing the Dark Aether Story Mission.
- Laptop with Stickers: Go to a Mercenary Camp & make sure it has a Sergeant enemy. Have a friendly dog with you via Dog Bone schematic or Pieces of Meat and have him kill the Sergeant (ONLY THE DOG can kill the Sergeant)
- Science Journal: Go to the Storm & kill around 50 zombies. You do not need to kill Stormcaller. After killing enough zombies, a portal will spawn with the item inside.
- Imaginary Friend Drawing: Go to the house in I7 across from Shahin Manor, go upstairs to the bedroom & interact with the object underneath the bed. This will spawn a portal with the item inside. (Death Perception can show you footsteps to lead you into the room, but it isn’t needed.)
Once you have obtained all 4 Dark Aether artifacts, 3 of them need to be upgraded to Legendary rarity before they can be placed on the podium. This can be done by doing all 3 different Tier 3 triangle easter eggs. If you don’t know how to do this, you can find our straight to the point guide here. After doing one of each, a special enemy will spawn with a different name and stronger health. After killing each one a reward rift will spawn dropping an upgraded version of each Dark Aether artifact.
HOW TO FIND DARK AETHER SIGILS
As a reminder, regular sigils can be obtained by completing tier 3 contracts and getting lucky in the reward rift. Regular sigils can be used to enter either the Season 1, Season 2 or Season 3 rift gates.
HOW TO FIND ELDER SIGILS
Sadly, elder sigils are ONLY obtainable within Dark Aether rifts, and can be found in reward rifts upon completing contracts. If players already have elder sigils from their Season 1 grinding, they can choose to go straight into the new dark aether rift to grind for the new schematics.
If players don’t have elder sigils in their inventory, then they’ll need to complete contracts in either of the two dark aether rifts that require regular sigils to enter.
COMPLETE THE THIRD DARK AETHER RIFT
Once inside the Dark Aether, there will be three obelisks that can be found. Each obelisk will need to be interacted with, and then they will drop an item you need to grab to start the contracts; each item gives certain abilities. Thankfully, these are marked with a light in the sky. These can be grabbed in any order:
- Pick Up The Head – Kill a Mega Abomination | Head Ability: Explosive Headshots
- Pick Up The Arm – Escort Contract | Arm Ability: Free Nukes
Pick Up The Leg – Outlast Contract | Leg Ability: Faster Movement Speed
NEW PLANS AND SCHEMATICS
Only contracts completed in the ELDER SIGIL Dark Aether can award players with the Season 3 Reloaded schematics.
- Dead Wire Detonators (Schematic): Are you still shocked at the impressive electrical damage the Dead Wire Ammo Mod inflicts? Then you might want to employ the Dead Wire Detonator, and attach it to all your explosive weaponry, including Lethals and Launchers!
- Golden Mask Filter (Schematic): A prized schematic with a shiny hue and an impressive, long-lasting effect — gain a self-regenerating gas mask for the rest of the match. This comes in extremely handy for surviving zombie strongholds and any surprises in the rifts.
- Sergeant’s Beret (Schematic): Your outcomes no longer need to be terminal when dealing with Zakhaev’s hired guns; simply don the Sergeant’s Beret to disguise yourself among the Mercs, and summon a trusty Merc Bodyguard who shadows you to the end.
