The Modern Warfare 4 BETA is around the corner, where players get their first hands-on with the upcoming game and get a feel of what the next year of content has in store.
For those who have not pre-ordered the game yet, you can still play during the Early BETA Access if you get your hands on a BETA code.
How do you get that BETA code? We’ve got you covered with all options available!
All Methods to get a BETA code
The easiest way to get Early BETA Access is to pre-order Modern Warfare 4.
Players who pre-order any edition of the game will gain access to the Early Access BETA, which runs from August 21 to August 25.
However, there is an important difference between buying the game digitally and physically.
If you pre-order Modern Warfare 4 digitally through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Battle.net or Steam, you don’t need a BETA code. Your account will automatically be registered for Early Access
If you pre-order a physical copy from a participating retailer, you should receive a 13-character BETA code. This will usually be printed on your receipt or sent to you by email.
Once you have the code, you can redeem it through Activision’s BETA redemption page and select the platform you want to play on.
Get a code through Discord Nitro
If you don’t want to pre-order Modern Warfare 4, Discord Nitro subscribers have another option.
Discord Nitro subscribers can receive an Early Access BETA code for MW4, along with an exclusive weapon blueprint for the full game. The offer is tied to the full Nitro subscription rather than Nitro Basic.
If you already have Nitro, it’s worth checking your Discord account and the email address linked to it to see if you’ve received the offer. You can also check the Nitro Home section within the Discord app, where a MW4 tab will provide you with the BETA code and where to redeem it.
Watch Call of Duty NEXT
Another option is to keep an eye on the Call of Duty NEXT broadcast.
Call of Duty NEXT takes place on August 21, the same day that the Early Access BETA begins. Activision is using the event to showcase Modern Warfare 4’s multiplayer ahead of the BETA, and BETA codes have been distributed through Call of Duty live events and broadcasts.
This makes the broadcast worth watching if you’re still looking for a code when the event rolls around.
Keep an eye out for giveaways
Activision has already handed out MW4 BETA codes through different events and promotions.
Fanatics Fest, for example, included opportunities to get Modern Warfare 4 BETA codes, while the Call of Duty League Championship also ran an official BETA code sweepstakes.
While some of these events have already taken place, more giveaways could appear as we get closer to the BETA.
It’s worth keeping an eye on the official Call of Duty social channels, creators and gaming websites for any new opportunities.
Which is the Best Way to Get a MW4 BETA Code?
If you want to play as early as possible without buying the game, Discord Nitro or a legitimate giveaway are your best options.
Otherwise, pre-ordering the game guarantees Early Access, while waiting until August 28 means you can play the Open BETA completely free.
Either way, there are plenty of ways to get your first taste of Modern Warfare 4 before its full release on October 23.
