The main Easter egg has been SOLVED for Shattered Veil, and with it came a surprising ending cutscene which sets up the finale to Black Ops 6. The Shattered Veil ending cutscene gets us closer to the climax of the Dark Aether story this year, as several loose ends finally get addressed.
HOW TO UNLOCK THE SHATTERED VEIL ENDING
The main quest for DLC 3 was solved in just under 4 hours, which we covered HERE. Following the boss fight, the cutscene will begin to play.
While players can’t rewatch the cutscene in the cinematic menu just yet, it’s available to watch on my YouTube channel.
DLC 3 ENDING CUTSCENE EXPLAINED
The cutscene starts off with our crew being teleported to Richtofen in a bedroom. Weaver is initially mad and is about to finally get his revenge on Richtofen, but they he starts speaking about how everything he’s done was to get back his wife Mary and son Samuel back since Weaver accidently killed them prior to the Events of Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Richtofen explains that why Weaver was chosen for Requiem, so he could use him and keep watch on him.
He then continues to explain how the Sentinel Artifact was needed to revive his dead family, which Requiem just gave to S.A.M. Richtofen says you can either kill me or get us out of here, which Weaver accepts and they teleport back to the Mansion. Upon coming back, the T-Rex fossil in the Front Foyer comes to life as the ‘Z-Rex’ which nearly kills all of them before they are thrown into the Boss Fight arena.
After defeating the ‘Z-Rex’ the 2nd cutscene will play. Which starts off with Carver helping Richtofen up from a cliff, then starting a dialogue with the rest of the Crew. Richtofen says SAM will be using the Sentinel Artifact to BECOME Maxis, not save her. This means she will have the power of her AI abilities but also become the ruler of the Dark Aether if we do not stop her, also killing the actual Maxis. Weaver and the crew agree that they need to save Maxis from SAM, joining Richtofen in walking over to the neighboring ‘Janus Towers’ location…
DLC 4 MAP TEASER EXPLAINED
The End of the Shattered Veil Cutscene shows Richtofen, Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey walking over to “Janus Towers,” which was setup not far from the Mansion where DLC 3 takes place. This mean DLC 4 is still in West Virginia, not far from Liberty Falls and Shattered Veil. Currently, it is unknown when this map will release, but its safe to say it should come out before Black Ops 6 Season 5 at the very latest.
