The next Call of Duty launch got confirmed during the 2023 Summer Games Fest event
Rumored Modern Warfare III will release with highly anticipated Warzone Mobile
During the Call of Duty panel of Summer Games Fest, Geoff Keighly confirmed a new title is releasing for the twenty year anniversary of the series. Warzone Mobile, which was originally stated to release this past May, has since changed it’s estimated app store release date to November 1st. The mobile entry of Warzone is currently available in select regions, but not North America or Europe.

The Cross Progression of COD 2.0 is set to continue with this fall’s scheduled releases
Earlier this year, Insider Gaming reported that Sledgehammer is leading this fall’s Call of Duty, currently named Modern Warfare III. Warzone Mobile was initially revealed during last year’s “Call of Duty NEXT” event, in which a release date was not given, despite the marketing around cross progression with Modern Warfare II & Warzone 2. Seasonal updates have released for Warzone Mobile to coincide with the major updates of Warzone 2.0, while new rumors suggest Rebirth Island is joining Verdansk once Warzone Mobile releases globally this fall. Activision has yet to promote the next Call of Duty, but Insider Gaming is claiming a reveal will occur in a Warzone event later this summer. Stay tuned for an upcoming article recapping everything new that’s been reported about Call of Duty 2023.
