With the release of Season 2 Reloaded right over the horizon for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 & Warzone, some challenging new updates are coming to Endgame. Brand new Glitch Fractures have begun appearing within the Nightmare Zones, & are sure to provide even more chaos than before! Players will be able to take on this new experience within the confines of Endgame in Black Ops 7, while also earning new Skills from the Nightmare Skill Track. Today, we’re going into the new Glitch Fractures, their locations, & the rewards you can earn here in BO7 Endgame Season 2 Reloaded. Here’s what you need to know:
Glitch Fractures in Black Ops 7 Season 2 Reloaded
With the Guild amping up their attacks within Avalon, a new level of chaos has been introduced into the fold. Once players have located & defeated the Strike Boss within the Nightmare Zone, the location of the new Glitch Fracture will be revealed. This fracture will bring your squad to an off-map area inside of a corrupted C-Link Data section, to face off against the new Glitch Boss & the ever increasing difficult waves of enemies.
These Glitch Fractures will permanently remain on the map. This gives the opportunity to replay them at will, as much as you’d like. Suffice to say, you’ll need your absolute best gear heading into these fractures. They’re set to be more challenging than Tier 5 & Nightmare Zones themselves.
For maximizing your odds in the Glitch Fracture, using the Exotic Fabricator is highly recommended. The Exotic Fabricator is unlocked after defeating the initial Strike Boss within the Nightmare Zone. It will upgrade any weapon you’re holding to Exotic Rarity & Damage status. If your weapon is already exotic, using the Fabricator will give you a boost or an exotic effect (2nd upgrade).
Glitch Fracture Locations in Black Ops 7 Season 2 Reloaded
Locate Guild Strike & Defeat Boss
Upon loading into Endgame, a Guild Strike will now appear as an activity shortly after the match begins. It will be a big red and yellow icon, and will require you to interact with it to begin the Guild Strike. When interacting with it, it will start a small lockdown of enemies which you will have to defeat. Once completed, the main boss will spawn nearby.
Defeating this boss, known to Zombies players as ‘Caltheris’ from Astra Malorum, will drop an Exotic Fabricator and ping the location of the Glitch Fracture Rift.
Locating Glitch Fracture in Black Ops 7 Endgame
Once you have completed a Guild Boss for the first time, the Glitch Fracture Portal will always spawn at the top of the mountain in Tier 2. Regardless if you complete a Guild Strike within a Match again, this portal will always be available once you spawn in from now on.
Tips for Glitch Fracture in Black Ops 7 Endgame
Before teleporting to the Root Fracture Objective with the Glitch Fracture Portal, make sure you and your squad are Combat Rating 60 with Tier 3 Exotic Skills, and at least an Exotic Weapon from the Exotic Fabricator. Also make sure your squad has Decoy’s, Crash Cart, and Self Revives Equipped.
How To Complete Glitch Fracture in Black Ops 7 Endgame
Upon teleporting to the Glitch Fracture, you will be placed in different areas from Campaign and be tasked with 6 different waves of objectives to complete within the time given. Those challenges are as follows:
- Wave 1 – Secure 3 Zones
- Wave 2 – Defeat 5 Cradle Champion HVTs
- Wave 3 – Destroy 10 Cradle Growths
- Wave 4 – Defeat 5 Guild HVTs
- Wave 5 – Eliminate Enemies while remaining in Safe Zone
- Wave 6 – Defeat Glitch Fracture Boss
The Glitch Fracture Boss will be the Z-Rex from Shattered Veil in Black Ops 6, and the World Event from Endgame. They have significantly less health, but must be defeated in a shorter amount of time.

Glitch Fracture Rewards in Black Ops 7 Season 2 Reloaded
For defeating the Glitch Boss within the fracture, players will be able to earn a variety of loot from powerful weaponry, loot, & skills from a new Skill Track, the Nightmare Skill Track. These powerful new skills can be utilized to take on Nightmare Zones & Glitch Fractures for future encounters. We may also see a special camo unlock for defeating a Glitch Boss, or a set number of Glitch Bosses. This article will be updated with rewards as they’re discovered!
Glitch Fracture Operator Rewards
Complete a Glitch Fracture with the Following Operators to Unlock an ‘Firewall’ Operator Skins Each Time:
- Vermaak
- Wei Lin
- Andersonn
- Karma
Glitch Fracture Animated Blueprint
Complete a Glitch Fracture to Unlock the Animated ‘Data Corruption’ Carbon 57 Blueprint. Additionally, Animated Calling Cards will also be rewarded upon completion.
Glitch Fracture Dark Ops Challenges
3 NEW Endgame Dark Ops Challenges will be added with Season 2 Reloaded, relating to Nightmare Zones and Glitch Fractures.
- Run It Back Calling Card – Unlock 3 Operator Skins from Root Crashed Glitch Fractures
- Off-Meta Calling Card – Complete a Glitch Fracture without using Crash Cart or Ballistic Shield Abilities
- Stationary Stalwart – Capture the Initial Set of Zones without Being Downed or Leaving the Zones during the Glitch Fracture
Nightmare Skills
Here are all the different Nightmare Skills you can unlock from defeating Glitch Bosses, as well as the different upgrades for each skill in Endgame Season 2 Reloaded:
- Chaos Rounds
- Weapon attacks could trigger Frost, Incendiary, Photon, or Shock effects on enemies.
- The first upgrade can also trigger Graviton, Mortar, Nuero-Disruption, or Shrapnel effects.
- The second upgrade will have a chance for enemies hit by chaos rounds to trigger a random chaos round on nearby enemies.
- Weapon attacks could trigger Frost, Incendiary, Photon, or Shock effects on enemies.
