Season 6 of Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone begins on September 18th, at 9am PT, 11am CT, 12pm EST. Modern Warfare III Season 6 will feature upwards of two weapons and the Haunting event! Additionally, Season 6 for Warzone and MW3 will inevitably release a ton of content in game, featuring new Operators, Maps, Weapons, and More! RELEASE DATE
Based off the in-game battle pass timer, Season 6 of Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone will be the final season until Black Ops 6’s first content drop in late November. Unless a delay happens, we can expect a September 18th Release date based off this timer alone. So far, MW3 has had a great track record of season and mid season launches, without any major delays.
The Haunting, as seen in previous titles, is likely just the mid season update for MW3 and Warzone. Anywhere from October 2nd or October 7th could be when the Haunting goes live, just a few weeks before the launch of Black Ops 6.
PRELOAD
The Season 5 Reloaded update for MWIII was around 100GB to shrink the overall size of the game, detach Warzone and prepare the COD HQ launcher for the Black Ops 6 overhaul. Activision confirmed every update going forward should be much smaller as they’ve streamlined the download process.
It’s likely the Season 6 preload, which may go live 24 hours before the content drops, could be the typical 20GB size or bigger to continue optimizing COD HQ for the full Black Ops 6 launch in October. The update may also include everything needed for the mid season Haunting update.
START TIMES
As stated previously, we can expect Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone Season 6 to go live September 18th at 9am PT, 11am CT, 12pm EST. Every season launch has been very consistent with these times, with the only exception being some hour long delays during the MW2 lifecycle.
The new battlepass may also go live at these times unless it’s saved for the bundle shop update which is typically an hour after the content drop.
