Celebrating 20 Years of Call of Duty
Apart from all 16 MW2 (2009) maps being remastered for Modern Warfare 3’s launch, or the franchise wide sale happening, various free rewards are rumored to release for use in Modern Warfare II, Warzone and MWIII. It’s currently unclear what challenges have to be completed to unlock these rewards, or if they’ll just be given out on different calendar days, as we saw with the Warzone 3 year anniversary event. Season 6 of Modern Warfare II is scheduled to begin on September 27th, while the Haunting event is unlikely to begin until after the MW3 Beta concludes in mid October. The 20th Anniversary event will likely kick off the final season, before the Halloween festivities take over next month.

HOW TO CLAIM DAILY LOGIN REWARDS
The 20 Year Anniversary Daily Login Rewards should automatically appear when loading up the game to claim your first rewards! Rinse and Repeat every day until you claim the final reward!

If they haven’t shown up for you, just be patient. It should be showing up for everyone by October 6th, 2023. You can also check for the “Login Rewards” tab in the side menu!

Free 20th Anniversary Rewards Revealed (OUTDATED)
The rewards that got leaked prematurely for this event include a classic COD 1/2 Captain Price Skin, a Black Ops animated emblem, a MW2 2009 loading screen, various calling cards and potential blueprints. Ironically, a “classic pack” is also releasing before Season 5 concludes, featuring nostalgic blueprints and cosmetics that are based on the original Call of Duty from 2005. It was speculated that the 2005 Price skin would be apart of that bundle, but it appears we’ll be receiving that skin for free in the near future. The first Call of Duty released on October 29th, 2005, but that date likely won’t mean much in regards to this event, as that’s right before Campaign Early Access begins for Modern Warfare III.

Remastered Maps, Campaigns & More Surprises
While the likeliness of any campaign remasters in the same vein as Modern Warfare Remastered (2016) or Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered (2020) are unlikely, we still have yet to see any Treyarch titles remastered apart from Zombies Chronicles (2017). It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Activision has a few more surprises up their sleeves in the near future, as they’ll likely celebrate 20 years of Call of Duty throughout the entire duration of Modern Warfare 3’s life cycle. Both Season 4 and 5 of MWII added classic 6v6 maps from COD 4, so the chances of seeing another remaster for Season 6 is more than likely.
