Warzone is celebrating its four year anniversary through the new “Welcome Missions” event. The Warzone 4 year anniversary update features three stages of challenges, with each granting players with a free reward. The safeguard operator skin can be unlocked by completing all three stages of the Warzone 4 Year anniversary event. Here’s everything there is to know about the new Warzone Welcome Missions Update:
4 Year Anniversary of Warzone
While not much has been done for recent anniversaries of Warzone, last year’s update granted players with a series of free gift packs, including the “Memory Maker” weapon blueprint.
This year is shaping out to be special for Warzone, as we not only have a free operator unlock and the imminent global release of Warzone Mobile, but even Verdansk which is reportedly dropping this fall.
New Warzone Welcome Challenges
Unexpectedly, players have begun seeing Warzone Welcome Challenges appear next to the “find party” option at the bottom left of their lobby menu. This update is likely meant to coincide with the 4 year anniversary of Warzone, which is March 10th.
Once inside the welcome missions menu, players can see the new Warzone challenges which are split into three different stages:
Stage 1 Challenges
- Log in game once – 2000 XP
- Complete a Resurgence match – 15 Min 2XP
- Get 1 assist – 15 Min 2WXP
- Get 1 kill in Warzone – 4000 XP
- Open up 1 supply box in Warzone – 2000 XP
Mastery Reward: Large Decal
Stage 2 Challenges
- Edit Warzone custom loadout – 30 Min 2XP
- Pick up loadout drop in Battle Royale or Resurgence – 30 Min 2WXP
- Buy any item from the Buy Station in Warzone – 4000 XP
- Change your operator once in Warzone – 4000 XP
- Complete a Battle Royale match – 30 Min 2X Battlepass XP
Reward: Sticker
Stage 3 Challenges
- Complete 10 total matches in any Warzone mode – 30 Min 2XP
- Equip a 5-attachment weapon in any Warzone modes – 4000 XP
- Complete any 1 contract in Warzone – 30 Min 2WXP
- Add 1 friend in Warzone – 4000 XP
- Buy back a teammate in Buy Station once in Warzone – 30 Min 2X Battlepass XP
Reward: Safeguard Operator Skin
Operation Day Zero
Leakers previously mixed up information regarding the Warzone Mobile global launch celebration, with the new Welcome Missions update which released at the perfect time to celebrate the 4 year anniversary.
It appears the leaked phantom ghost skin, aka the gold condemned ghost, will be launching as rewards within Operation Day Zero. It’s unknown what challenges will need to be completed in that event, but stay tuned for further updates.
