With Season 3 Reloaded in the mirror, players have begun looking towards the release of Season 4 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 & Warzone. Season 4 of BO7 is looking to bring a slew of new content including new weapons, a familiar face returning as the main operator, potential maps returning, & a massive overhaul coming to Ranked Play. Based off the in-game Battle Pass timer, Season 4 is set to release somewhere near the beginning of June. With the release of Season 4 right around the corner, let’s take a look at all we know so far on the upcoming season for Black Ops 7 & Warzone. Here’s what you need to know:
Black Ops 7 Season 4 Release Date
Based on the Battle Pass timer in-game, Season 4 looks set to drop on June 4th. With previous Season releases, it’s always worth noting things are subject to change. A delay could happen causing the release to be postponed, but for all things considered right now, June 4th is the speculated release date.

Major Overhaul Coming to Ranked Play in Black Ops 7 Season 4
When Season 4 releases, Treyarch have confirmed a major overhaul regarding the Ranked Play SR system. There will no longer be hidden MMR, & no longer be unexplained SR. Every point you gain or lose will be shown in a new post match summary.
Potential Multiplayer Maps Returning
During the most recent Dev Talk, Treyarch hinted at 2 potential maps coming in Season 4. Those maps being Arsenal & Frequency from Black Ops 4. Both were key maps from BO4, however Frequency seems more fit for wall-jumping within BO7.
There’s also Vertigo, which is visible out of bounds in Gridlock & Express. It had been confirmed to release within Black Ops 7 sometime before the game was even in players hands. We could also see a new Freerun Experience added into the mode in Season 4.
Endgame Content Coming in Black Ops 7 Season 4
The recent Dev Talk gave us virtually no new info on content coming to Endgame in Season 4. If the previous seasons are anything to go off of, we may see a new Operation added, a new glitch fracture, & even a new guild strike. With the Abomination added recently, we may see the Necropincer added onto Endgame.
We may also see some new major & minor abilities added into the fold. Along with new skill track, these could always add a new way to play Endgame. Perhaps even the lobby sized is increased again, heading back to the initial Endgame lobby size.
The Next Chapter in the Zombies Story in Black Ops 7 Season 4
DLC 4 for Black Ops 7 Zombies will be the next installment in the Dark Aether Saga. Having just freed Dravakar, our team is moving onto the next location, which was described as the place of fire. Based on how things have gone, this next location should be focused on Takeo & hopefully his past in 14-1500s feudal Japan. This will likely release in Season 4 Reloaded.
DLC 4 also is potentially the last chance to see Widows Wine added. With both the perk machine & respective augments having been leaked quite some time ago, we could see it finally added as a sort of spiritual successor to Zetsubou No Shima. Perhaps you find the perk in a cave like you did after the Spider Boss Fight.
We’ll likely also see a couple of new Survival Maps added in Season 4 & Season 4 Reloaded. Nuked Survival should be coming with the launch of Season 4, while we’ll likely see the Lighthouse POI added in Season 4 Reloaded alongside the new round based experience.
Fortunes Keep Returns in Season 4 of Warzone
Thanks to the recent reveal of Season 4, we now know Fortunes Keep will be returning in Warzone Resurgence. Having been confirmed back in November, the map is finally returning on June 4th for Warzone. It will rotate with Haven’s Hollow & Rebirth. Likely it will have a dedicated playlist on launch.

With how much content was available in the original iteration of the map, with quests, eater eggs, & even zombies content spilling over, Fortunes Keep could rise back to the top of the Warzone scene.
New Weapons, Operators, & Events Coming into Black Ops 7 Season 4
For Black Ops 2 fans, the AN-94 was revealed in the latest trailer for Season 4 of Black Ops 7. Wielded by Rook, the classic AR is set to return to players inventories in June. As for other weapons coming in Season 4, a couple of weapon codename lists were posted by leakers Reality UK & Alaix. The weapons on the list varied from ARs, to snipers, & so on.

We also see a new SMG in the Warzone Season 4 Key Art. What the name of this SMG is, we’re not sure yet, but will likely get confirmation closer to the release of Season 4.
A brand new operator Rook leads the charge in Black Ops 7’s 4th Season. Originally believed to be Prophet from BO3/BO4, Leon Rook is the one of the Guild’s most deadly Augmented Soldiers. He will most likely be the Battle Pass Operator, complete with different base & completion operator skins.
As for new events, we’re bound to see atleast a a new Event Pass added, most likely tied to another crossover. This will include plenty of rewards across the premium & free tracks. We could also see another Days of Summer type event, either at the beginning of June, or a little further in. With the ever popular Cherry Fizz camo confirmed to return, it could be a reward with this event.
