RELEASE DATE
Based off the in-game battle pass timer, Season 2 Reloaded of Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone will begin on Wednesday, March 6th. The classified battlepass sector typically contains a new DLC weapon and various reward challenges, which to date has only been opened on the launch of a reloaded update.
MULTIPLAYER CONTENT
As it stands, MW3 Season 2 Reloaded will feature three maps for Multiplayer, one of which is a remake from Vanguard (2021) while the other two are map remixes as we saw with the vortex event in Season 1.

SKIDGROW (6v6) | Skidrow Variant (Mid-Season)
GAMEMODES:
- JUGGERMOSH | Limited-time Mode where EVERYONE plays a Kill Confirmed, Domination, or Hardpoint match in a Juggernaut suit ALL GAME.
- BOUNTY | Pretty much Team Deathmatch with an HVT (player with the most kills) that grants more score when killed. The HVT alternates throughout the match.
- VORTEX: DECAY’S REALM | Limited-time Playlist Rotation of Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint on Vortex maps: Tetanus, Satan’s Quarry, Sporeyard, Skidgrow, and Airborne
ZOMBIES CONTENT
THE DARK AETHER:
- The Dark Aether Story Act Continues: Operation Deadbolt Strike Teams are tasked to confront a new anomaly in the Exclusion Zone. New missions will be added for players to complete!
- Enter the Second Rift: Face down the largest infested Stronghold you’ve encountered as you enter a new and terrifying Rift.
NEW SCHEMATICS:
Players will now be able to obtain a V-R11 Wonder Weapon Schematic, Mags of Holding, and a Blood Burner Key!
- Mags of Holding (Schematic)
- Who has time to reload? Not you if you’ve activated the Mags of Holding, which allows your ammunition to feed directly from your weapon’s ammo stash, essentially eliminating the need to reload your weapon.
- Blood Burner Key (Schematic)
- There’s no need to scavenge for the Blood Burner Wonder Vehicle on the map if you’re carrying the Blood Burner Key; simply use it to summon the possessed two-wheeler without a lengthy search beforehand!
- V-R11 Wonder Weapon (Schematic)
- Those Strike Team Operators planning on forming their own temporary regiment of undead friends or transformed humans can now take the V-R11 Wonder Weapon into important outings, thanks to this Schematic.
NEW WARLORD
Keres, a trap-focused Warlord boss will now be on the map. Keres will spawn at Orlov Military Base and will she will have a heavily-trapped base, like a gas that counters thermals and other sensors. More info on how to defeat her as we get closer to Season 2 Reloaded!
NEW WEAPONS AND EVENTS
We have two confirmed weapons and events coming with Season 2 Reloaded!
- WEAPON – SOA Subverter
- WEAPON – Soulrender
- EVENT – Vortex: Decay’s Realm Event
- EVENT – Dune: Rule of Fate Event
WARHAMMER CROSSOVER
Not yet confirmed but heavily rumored, a collaboration with Warhammer is reportedly coming to Modern Warfare III and Warzone. Gameplay has surfaced of potential juggernaut reskins or operator models, as well as finishing moves.
A Camo named Blue Steel is also set to be a mastery reward for those who complete the XP focussed challenge event. Footage even surfaced of a Warhammer themed riot shield blueprint, which is likely tied to an upcoming bundle.
FORTUNE’S KEEP RESEARCH VESSEL
Although Fortune’s Keep launched with several point of interest updates and Easter Eggs to discover, a mobile POI is scheduled to launch during mid season.
Leakers claim an Easter Egg quest will be featured in the Research Vessel, which will be a unique hot drop considering the ship moves around throughout the duration of the match.
A large pontoon-style watercraft has been rumored to appear in the waters off the coast of Fortune’s Keep, later in the season. Certain to draw attention, the craft is large enough for combat to take place across the deck. WARZONE QOL ADD ONS
A long awaited field upgrade, last confirmed during Season 3 of MW2 Warzone, is finally going live during the mid season update. The portable decontamination station was featured throughout Warzone 1’s life cycle, but hasn’t made a return until now.
A new killstreak named the bunker buster was also previewed during the Season 2 creator call, which allows players to call in a gas strike on any building, which can help map flow and eliminate campers. This new streak is confirmed to release with reloaded.
