Ranked Play in Call of Duty has been a staple for many years, with Modern Warfare 3 Warzone having gotten it’s own take on the mode in Season 2. MW3 Warzone Ranked Play is currently available for Resurgence, NOT Battle Royale. Activision recently teased that Battle Royale Ranked Play IS launching in 2024, but it’s unclear if its for Urzikstan or the rumored return of Verdansk. Here’s everything we know so far about the MWIII Warzone Ranked Play for Battle Royale:

MW3 Warzone Ranked Details
While details are scarce on the MW3 Warzone Battle Royale Ranked Play, the mode will still be apart of the current iteration of Warzone, which means it’ll likely be structured similarly to Al Mazrah’s Ranked Play from MW2. Players needed to be at least level 45 to take part in Warzone Ranked, while the following rule sets were in effect:
- Party Size: Trios
- Map: Al Mazrah (Now Urzikstan)
- Game Mode: Battle Royale
- Public Event restrictions (e.g. No Firesales)
- Vehicle restrictions (e.g. No Heavy Choppers)
- Restricted gameplay elements (e.g. no multi-circles, changes to redeploy mechanics)
- Buy Station Inventory Adjustments
- No flinging rocks at people in the Gulag, because that is just mean

MW3 Warzone Ranked Skill Divisions & Ratings
Warzone players were able to progress through seven skill divisions last year, and will likely be able to in the Urzikstan iteration of Ranked Play this year. MW3 Warzone Ranked will likely offer a Skill Rating (SR) system which is built on the performance of:
- Placement (e.g., 1st, 2nd, 20th)
- Kills
- Assists
- Kills by your squad.

The SR earned for Kills, Assists and Squad Kills is increased based on the number of squads remaining:
- 21+ Squads Remaining: +5 SR per Elimination/Assist, +2 SR per Squadmate Elimination
- 3–20 Squads Remaining: +7 SR per Elimination/Assist, +3 SR per Squadmate Elimination
- 1–3 Squads Remaining: +15 SR per Elimination/Assist, +7 SR per Squadmate Elimination
At the beginning of each match, a Deployment Fee is deducted from each player’s SR total. The higher the player’s Skill Division and Tier, the higher the Deployment Fee.
- Bronze I–III: No Deployment Fee
- Silver I: –10 SR
- Silver II: –14 SR
- Silver III: –18 SR
- Gold I: –23 SR
- Gold II: –28 SR
- Gold III: –33 SR
- Platinum I: –39 SR
- Platinum II: –45 SR
- Platinum III: –51 SR
- Diamond I: –58 SR
- Diamond II: –65 SR
- Diamond III: –72 SR
- Crimson I: –80 SR
- Crimson II: –90 SR
- Crimson III: –100 SR
- Iridescent and Top 250: –110 SR + 10 SR every 500 SR above 10,000 up to a max Deployment Fee of –210 SR

At the end of each Season, players are knocked back to the lowest Tier one Division below where they ended the Season.
However, the highest Division at which players can start a new Season is Diamond I, so anyone in Crimson, Iridescent, or Top 250 will be brought down to Diamond I at the start of a new season.
Unexpected Release of Resurgence Ranked
The launch of MW3 Season 2 shocked Warzone players as not only did Fortune’s Keep release sooner than expected, but even Resurgence Ranked. While a big Battle Royale Ranked mode wasn’t released, Ranked support for Fortune’s Keep was launched just a few hours after the new season dropped.

It’s unclear if Ranked Resurgence will also be supported on Ashika Island or Vondel, but it’s likely Rebirth will receive support later this summer.
Battle Royale Ranked for Verdansk??
A recent creator call for Season 2 contained what may be a hint towards 2024 Battle Royale Ranked support. While it wasn’t explicitly said that Urzikstan Ranked was releasing, Raven did confirm Battle Royale Ranked would be launching later this year, but mentioned it in an exciting tone.

It’s been speculated that with the rumored return of Verdansk in 2024, could mean they save Battle Royale ranked support for that map instead of releasing it for Urzikstan first. Although people likely aren’t opposed to seeing multiple maps with Ranked support, we’ll likely only see it on one map at a time.
THE END
MW3 Season 3 starts on April 2nd while Battle Royale Ranked Play may release during that window. Stay tuned for further updates on Warzone Ranked as new information is provided.
