PRE-GAME LOBBY
Just like the last few iterations of Zombies, the background will change in the lobby to now have a new tint and Dark Aether Crystals in the background:

For those of you that played DMZ, the operator select screen is the same as before! How many operators you can have is yet to be confirmed, but if it’s anything like DMZ, there will for sure be some bundles that give you extra operator slots.

The Backpack system will also be returning, but has been renamed to Rucksack. It gives you a very details list on everything you would want for your Zombie killing needs! We have a backpack slot, Primary and Secondary weapon, Tactical and Lethal grenade, and your Field Upgrade!

Loadouts are the same as DMZ; you have a contraband stash full of different weapons found in Urzikstan and your own personal weapon loadouts that you can customize and equip. You have 3 insured weapon slots that you can choose from in case you have more than one favorite weapon. You have a selection from not just the MW3 weapons, but the MW2 weapons as well!

Finally, you have your Field Upgrades; there 6 to choose from! Each give you different buffs:
- Energy Mine – Launch down a mine that explodes when enemies approach it
- Frenzied Guard – Repair all armor and have all enemies target you for 10 seconds. Enemy kills repair armor during this time
- Healing Aura – Heal all friendlies and revive downed players immediately
- Frost Blast – Creates a frozen field around you that freezes and damages enemies
- Aether Shroud – Go invisible to enemies
- Tesla Storm – Connect an electricity rod between you and friendlies for 10 seconds. Stunning and damaging normal enemies

IN-GAME ITEMS
There’s a handful of in-game items you should be aware of once you’ve hopped into Urzikstan! Let’s start with Acquisitions and Schematics. Acquisitions are single-use items that help give you an advantage on the battlefield, and Schematics are highly-sought after plans that give you a drastic advantage on the battlefield. NOTE: Schematics have a cooldown period.

You can exfil with the Acquisitions of which they will then go to your Rucksack for use in the next match. Schematics, however, are a permanent addition that can allow you to craft Acquisitions to your Rucksack! Here’s the Acquisitions you can either find, or craft using Schematics:

The Aetherium crystals are used to upgrade your Pack-A-Punch tier. It’s unclear what the difference is in each rarity since there’s only 2 Pack-A-Punch tiers. The Aether Tools help upgrade your weapon to a higher rarity. The higher the rarity, the better damage you’ll do!

Up next, we have the Perk-A-Colas. Since the MP Gear System isn’t in Zombies, these are a permanent boost (until you die) of additional buffs to the player. These buffs are:
- Deadshot Daquiri – Jumping to ADS targets an enemies critical spot. Removes scope sway
- Death Perception – Obscured enemies, chests, and item drops are easier to spot
- Elemental Pop – Activates a random Ammo mod every-so-often
- Jugger-Nog – Increases maximum player health
- PhD Flopper – Diving to prone triggers an explosion; the higher the fall, the bigger the explosion. Immune to fall damage when diving and immunity to explosives.
- Quick Revive – Reduces health regen by 50% and reduces the time to revive an ally by 50%.
- Speed Cola – Reload and replace armor faster
- Stamin-Up – Increases run and sprint speed
- Tombstone Soda – On death, create a tombstone at death locatin. This allows you to come back next game and retrieve your items.
Finally, let’s talk about some extra firepower; Ammo mods and Wonder Weapons are sure to be a go-to for killing the hordes. Firstly, with the Ammo Mods, they are extra buffs you can add to your weapons that cause elemental damage every-so-often. Here’s the different types of ammo mods:

- Brain Rot – Turn an enemy Zombie friendly
- Cryo Freeze – Freeze an enemy Zombie and do damage at the same time
- Dead Wire Electrocute enemy Zombies and stun them while doing damage at the same time
- Napalm Burst – Set Zombies on fire, doing damage over time
- Shatter Blast – Triggers a small explosion that causes damage to Zombies nearby
Think the Ammo Mods are cool? Wait until you see what the Wonder Weapons can do. Super powerful weapons that have special abilities such as power rays, chaining electricity, and deadly orbs. You can grab these from the Mystery Box or craft these via Schematics (which these will be super hard to find):

The confirmed Wonder Weapons are:
- Ray Gun
- The Scorcher
- Wunderwaffe DG-2
MISSIONS & PARAMETERS
Modern Warfare Zombies will feature Quest Lines, but this time they’re separated between 3 Acts. You will get the same experience as a regular Easter Egg Quest, but it’ll now be separated in different Acts. There will be tiered missions in each Act, meaning there will be many objectives in each act you’ll need to complete enable to further the story (similar to the DMZ faction missions). Not every mission will be available; you’ll have to complete the highlight mission first before doing the next one:
- Complete tasks within a mission and receive unlocked missions and rewards.
- Complete missions within a Tier and receive unlocked missions and rewards.
- Complete all Tiers to finish an Act and receive unlocked missions and rewards.
- Complete all three Acts to receive a [REDACTED] and continue to uncover the mysteries plaguing the Exclusion Zone, prior the storyline continuation at Season 1.

Urzikstan is yours to explore and do as you will. You have the freedom to do whatever you want when you want:
- Explore: Investigate the Low, Medium, and High Threat Zones. This can be done with a purpose, or you can simply remain in the relative safety of a Low Threat Zone as you learn how to deal with the variety of enemy threats. Weapon levelling is an excellent plan within the outer edge of the map.
- Complete Contracts: This allows you to earn Essence (the in-game currency, mainly gathered after zombie culling) and Acquisitions by completing contracts in the field for Operation Deadbolt.
- Upgrade to Progress: Spend Essence at machines across the map and upgrade your weapons and gear.
- Extract Acquisitions: Successful exfils allow you to keep Acquisitions to get a head start in the next deployment.
The deeper into Urzikstan you go, the harder the enemies will be, so it’s advised to gear up and understand the threats before you pick a fight in a higher tier zone. There are tons of things that can help you with this:

At a Buy Station you can buy items such as Gas Masks, Scorestreaks, and other essential items that could help you out. Check one while you explore to see what fits your needs.

The Pack-A-Punch machine upgrades your weapons and makes them much more powerful. Pair this with the Aether Wrenches and you’ll do tons of damage to any enemy you face in Urzikstan.

Wall buys are a way for you to get better weapons to add to your arsenal. Wall buys have a rarity associated with them and can change depending where you are in Urzikstan. The higher tier the zone, the higher the rarity.

The Mystery Box is a way to gamble for a better weapon. You can either get a gold rarity weapon, a grey rarity, or a Wonder Weapon. It might be worth to test your luck for a better weapon.
