MW3 ZOMBIES HOW TO ENTER 2ND DARK AETHER RIFT | SEASON 2 RELOADED EASTER EGG & SIGIL LOCATIONS

MW3 Zombies Season 2 Reloaded features a NEW Dark Aether Rift. Once players complete the NEW Story Mission, they will be able to unlock the NEW Rift. Players can re-enter the Dark Aether in MWIII Zombies season 2 Reloaded if they complete an EASTER EGG in Urzikstan. Here’s everything we know about entering the NEW Dark Aether Rift Easter Egg in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Season 2 Reloaded:

HOW TO ENTER 2ND DARK AETHER IN MW3 ZOMBIES

To enter the NEW Dark Aether Rift, you must complete a hidden quest added in Season 2 Reloaded. Much like the Season 1 Quest, it requires you to find 4 artifacts and upgrade 3 of them. Placing them on 4 NEW pedestals will allow you to spend sigils to enter the second Dark Aether rift. Here’s how to complete the Hidden Quest:

DARK AETHER ARTIFACTS

You must collect 4 Artifacts found inside the Dark Aether Story Mission. To Upgrade each Artifact, you must complete a small quest for each item:

PICKING UP THE DRUM

Do the Act 4 mission (Countermeasure)
Before you exfil a reward rift will spawn with the Drum as an item to pick up.

NOTE: The Drum you get is already upgraded.

PICKING UP THE GLOVES

Head into the Countermeasure Act 4 mission rift.

Once you’ve entered, head over to the boat located in dark aether and you will find the statue in the middle

Interact with the statue and it will spawn an insta kill and zombies which you will need to melee them

Pick up the Gloves and now it’s time to upgrade them!

UPGRADING THE GLOVES

Go to the Boxing Gym located at the bottom of Zavaran City

Once there, enter the ring in the middle and offer your gloves.

Once done correctly, your screen will begin to shake and 3 punching bags will spawn in the ring,

punch each one of them with your fists then the punching bags will turn on fire.

A zombie will spawn in and you have to punch him with your fists

NOTE: You have to punch the zombie in the ring.

When completed it will drop the upgraded gloves.

PICKING UP THE TARGET

Head over to E4 (located behind the stadium in the DA) and you will find another statue

Once again, you will need to interact with the statue

Zombies will spawn in and you will need to get headshot kills.

When finished a Target will spawn.

UPGRADING THE TARGET

Go to a Firing Range located at Shanin Manor

Interact with a target and all the targets will turn purple

Shoot each target and they turn red

A Zombie will spawn in which you will have to shoot in the head.

When the zombie is dead it will drop the upgraded target.

PICKING UP THE MIRROR

Go over to I8 and you will find a statue in the thick fog

Interact with the statue and AAT Zombies will spawn

Kill a AAT zombie with the respective AAT Weapon Mod

When completed, the mirror will drop.

UPGRADING THE MIRROR

Head over to the Graveyard located at I3 and you will need to drop the mirror on this patch of grass.

AAT Zombies will start spawning, in which you will need to kill them using their respective ammo mods which can be found in the center of the graveyard.

Avoid shooting the AAT zombies with the wrong AAT, while teammates could help lure other zombies away to help thin the herd.

NOTE: Players will need a Tier II weapon or higher to deal damage to the special AAT zombies

A purple explosion will erupt from the final AAT zombie the player kills. Typically, only 3 AAT zombies are required for this step.

When completed, the Mirror upgrade will drop.

OPENING THE DARK AETHER RIFT

Once you’ve upgraded all Artifacts, take them to the top of the High Threat Zone where the second Tornado is. Place them on the pedestals that match their respective icons:

Mirror – Mirror Icon

Drum – Drum Icon

Gloves – Gloves Icon

Target – Target Icon

Defeating The EMP Mimic

Just like the abomination that players encountered with the Season 1 rift, an EMP mimic will spawn just after all four artifacts are placed. Defeat the mimic to gain access to the new Rift Gate and a free sigil.

PLEASE NOTE: It isn’t necessary to complete a regular sigil run of the new dark aether rift, as the season 2 schematics are only obtainable in the elder sigil version of the rift.

HOW TO FIND DARK AETHER SIGILS

As a reminder, regular sigils can be obtained by completing tier 3 contracts and getting lucky in the reward rift. Regular sigils can be used to enter the Season 1 AND Season 2 Reloaded rift gates.

Free sigils are also awarded to players for defeating the respective bosses that spawn after all artifacts are placed on their pedestals.

HOW TO FIND ELDER SIGILS

Sadly, elder sigils are ONLY obtainable within Dark Aether rifts, and can be found in reward rifts upon completing contracts. If players already have elder sigils from their Season 1 grinding, they can choose to go straight into the new dark aether rift to grind for the new schematics.

If players don’t have elder sigils in their inventory, then they’ll need to complete contracts in either of the two dark aether rifts that require regular sigils to enter.

COMPLETE THE SECOND DARK AETHER RIFT

Once inside the Dark Aether, there will be three Mister Peek rabits that can be found. Only contracts completed in the ELDER SIGIL Dark Aether can award players with the Season 2 Reloaded schematics. The rabbits can be grabbed in any order:

Mister Peeks Spawn #1

The first rabbit location is in a warehouse just next to the spawn point in the second dark aether rift. This Mister Peeks will always be a bounty contract which pits players against an abomination in the foggy area of the map.

Mister Peeks Spawn #2

The second rabbit location is always located on top of a building, not too far from the warehouse and is near the center of the map. This Mister Peeks will always be an Outlast contract that puts players in a fairly small space to defend.

Mister Peeks Spawn #3

The third and final rabbit location is located at the very top of the shopping mall building. This Mister Peeks will always be an extractor contract, which can be completed rather quickly.

NEW PLANS AND SCHEMATICS

Mags of Holding (Schematic)
- Who has time to reload? Not you if you’ve activated the Mags of Holding, which allows your ammunition to feed directly from your weapon’s ammo stash, essentially eliminating the need to reload your weapon.
Blood Burner Key (Schematic)
- There’s no need to scavenge for the Blood Burner Wonder Vehicle on the map if you’re carrying the Blood Burner Key; simply use it to summon the possessed two-wheeler without a lengthy search beforehand!
V-R11 Wonder Weapon (Schematic)
- Those Strike Team Operators planning on forming their own temporary regiment of undead friends or transformed humans can now take the V-R11 Wonder Weapon into important outings, thanks to this Schematic.
