Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be releasing to the world on November 14th, & fans have already gotten a look at the content coming in Season 1. From fan favorite maps & weapons returning, to brand new MP & Zombies experiences, players will have their hands full with content in what’s being hailed as the largest Seasom 1 content drop in Call of Duty history! Today, we’re going over all the content set to release in Black Ops 7 Season 1 including potential release date, maps, weapons, zombies, & more. Here’s what you need to know:
Season 1 Release Date in Black Ops 7

With Black Ops 7 releasing on November 14th, there serves the question, when will Season 1 Launch? It’s been revealed that Season 1 of BO7 will drop on Thursday, December 4th. This means it follows the usual Thursday drop schedule for Seasonal updates. This could change at any time, but December 4th is the current release date reveal.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Global Content
New/Returning Weapons
This is all the content coming globally to all modes in Black Ops 7 with the launch of massive Season 1 content drop. Call of Duty players can expect plenty of new content in Season 1, including 7 new & returning weapons. Some of these weapons are revealed classics from previous Call of Duty entries. These new & returning weapons revealed include the following:
Kogot-7 – SMG – Launch
This full-auto SMG may hit the hardest, but it makes up for it through speed & mobility. You’ll be able to unlock the base Kogot-7 through the Battle Pass on page 3, or a blueprint through the HVT Reward on page 11.
The Kogot-7’s special prestige weapon attachment will allow players to dual wield the SMG. There will also be three new prestige camos coming for the Kogot-7:
- Haste
- Fragmented
- Spinal
Maddox RFB – Assault Rifle – Launch
The popular & classic AR from BO4 returns in Season 1 of Black Ops 7. The Maddox comes with rapid fire, large ammo count, & decent recoil control. You’ll be able to unlock the base Maddox through the Battle Pass on page 6, & a HVT blueprint version on page 14.
For those who prestige the Maddox, you’ll gain access to the Echo-Fire Barrel. This provides the weapon a rapid burst fire feature with a fire rate that increases for every second bullet fired. The three new camos coming within the weapon prestige ranks are:
- Galactic
- Sand
- Electromagnetic
Ballistic Knife – Melee – Launch
The iconic Ballistic Knife makes its return here into Black Ops 7. This projectile shooter is lethal against unarmored enemies, & do severe damage to armored ones. You’ll be able to replenish your ammo by picking up your fired blades. You’ll be able to unlock the Ballistic Knife through the Week 1 Weekly Challenges. The prestige camos available for the Ballistic Knife are:
- Stinger
- Barbed
- Elegant
Sokol 545 – LMG – In Season
This LMG can either feature a slower fire rate, with high accuracy, or can have an increased fire rate, but lower accuracy. It makes for quite the cover fire weapon for you & your squad. You’ll be able to unlock the Sokol 545 through the Naughty & Nice event later In Season.
The MFS 48-Dread Burst Mod (prestige attachment) that comes with the Sokol 545 will transform the full auto LMG into a 6-round burst weapon, with improved recoil control. The three prestige camos will include:
- Coral
- Sand
- Scallywag
NX Ravager – Special – In Season
The NX Ravager is a compound bow that fires projectile bolts. These bolts deal high damage, & at a higher weapon rank, you’ll be able to unlock explosive bolts that detonate shortly after impact. You can unlock the NX Ravager during the Rally Point event later In Season.
The Ravagers Tri-Bolt prestige attachment will allow you to fire three bolts at a time. The three prestige camos that come with the NX Ravager, are called:
- Stuck
- Sequence
- Ripple
Hawker HX – Sniper – In Season
Fans may recognize this sniper, as the iconic Ballista Sniper Rifle from BO2. While it does take a hit with higher recoil & flinch, it boasts fantastic handling & mobility. This prestige attachment will allow for a Tac Stance sniper build. The attached prestige camos will include:
- Smolder
- Thicket
- Medley
Sturmwolf 45 – SMG – In Season
The Sturmwolf 45 SMG has a high level of accuracy due to low recoil, & some limited mobility & handling. It’s a durable & reliable SMG to wield against your enemies. The Sturmwolf 45 will be available as an event reward later on In Season.
The prestige attachment for the Sturmwolf 45 will provide players with more power & recoil. The three prestige camos you can unlock with this weapon are:
- Elevate
- Olive
- Vines
Weapon Attachments
Akita Scorchlink Akimbo – Launch
If one full-auto shotgun wasn’t lethal enough, this weapon attachment will allow you to wield two Akita Shotguns. You’ll need to keep an eye not to overheat the weapon to balance it out, as well as reduced damage & hip fire spread. However, the attachment will allow it to be belt-fed. You’ll be able to earn this attachment through the weekly challenges.
Redwell Shade-X Suppressor – In-Season
The Redwell Shade-X Suppressor will be a universal attachment that can be equipped on any weapon. This suppressor will not only provide covert fire for you, but will also give significant improvement to both vertical & horizontal recoil. The cost however comes at the damage range & bullet velocity. You can unlock this through the weekly challenges.

New Events
Rally Point
This event will not only allow you to earn rewards for yourself, but to contribute towards community rewards. It’s unknown what will be needed to contribute to the event, like kills or score, but there will be milestones to reach. Once these are reached, players who participated will earn the community rewards. The NX Ravager is one of the rewards the community can earn.
Naughty & Nice
The Naughty & Nice event will run later in-season for BO7 Season 1, & give players a chance to earn various holiday themed rewards. Players can complete ‘Nice’ challenges to earn gifts to unwrap, while ‘Naughty’ challenges for bags of coal to open for rewards. The Sokol 545 LMG is amongst these rewards as well as blueprints & an animated camo.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Endgame Content
Season 1 of Emdgame in Black Ops 7 will bring not one, not two, not even three, but four world events into the map. Two of these will be available at launch, with two others coming later on. These threats will range in shape & size, but all will fight with a ferocity that you must be ready for. Get your combat rating to the recommended 45, & bring your eyes gear, you’re gonna need it.
Colossus of Avalon – Launch

The Origins robot has returned here in Avalon! The Colossus of Avalon will make its appearance after specific criteria is met & leave a path of destruction as it goes across the landscape. Comms will go crazy with the expected arrival of this titan, so be sure to check your map & wait at the estimated arrival area.
You may require the assistance of more than just your squadron to take down the Colossus. It is a hardy behemoth, so bring your high tier weaponry & gear, look for any weak points, & take down the core of the machine. If you fail to do this, it will take flight off into the atmosphere, not to be seen again.
For recommended abilities to bring in, you may wish to bring Black Hat (minor ability) , incase of any smaller robots guarding the Colossus. Abilities that enhance movement & dodging also will help. Crash Cart (major ability) will also help you during the fight with the titan.
Toxic Tyrant – Launch
Comms have indicated that a massive & severe neurotoxin threat has been let loose on Avalon. With enemies coming from within the anomalies being relentless & more dangerous than ever. It’s up to you & your team to take down the threat of these anomalies. Similar to the Colossus, you’ll need your best gear, as the final boss of this event is said to be a major threat in Avalon, codenamed the ‘Toxic Tyrant’.
Expect two more world events to be announced later for the Mid-Season update.
New Exotic Skills
There’s a brand new set of skills for operators to use in Endgame, the Exotic Skills. These skills can be acquired through completing World Events, & are randomly given upon each completion through Exotic Skills Cases. If you earn a subsequent skill case of one you already have, you’re presented with a couple of options. You can either use it to upgrade your already equipped skill, or you can replace the equipped skill.
There are 8 Exotic Skills you can earn through world events, all with their own unique upgrades:
- Mega Punch
- Replaces your weapon melee attack with a powerful punch.
- Upgrade 1 – Affects more enemies.
- Upgrade 2 – Can trigger a Photon round & damage enemies, as well as drop a healing capsule to grab.
- Replaces your weapon melee attack with a powerful punch.
- Conjuration
- If you kill enough enemies, it will summon toxic butterflies to damage enemies.
- Upgrade 1 – Increases Butterfly’s Damage inflicted on enemies.
- Upgrade 2 – Greatly increases Butterfly’s Damage inflicted on enemies.
- If you kill enough enemies, it will summon toxic butterflies to damage enemies.
- Echo Shell
- Reduces damage taken from behind.
- Upgrade 1 – Reduces damage taken even further.
- Upgrade 2 – Even more significant damage is reduced from behind.
- Reduces damage taken from behind.
- Celebration
- If an enemy is damaged or affected by equipment, mortar rounds have a chance to trigger.
- Upgrade 1 – Chance to trigger mortar rounds increase.
- Upgrade 2 – Chance to trigger mortar rounds increases significantly.
- If an enemy is damaged or affected by equipment, mortar rounds have a chance to trigger.
- Frost Cloud
- If an enemy is affected or damaged by equipment, they can trigger a frost cloud that reduces enemy speed.
- Upgrade 1 – The cloud will also damage enemies.
- Upgrade 2 – Inflicted enemies will also transfer their frost to nearby enemies.
- If an enemy is affected or damaged by equipment, they can trigger a frost cloud that reduces enemy speed.
- Resurrection
- Instead of taking a death, you become temporarily invulnerable. Only available once per match.
- Upgrade 1 – Gain full health after surviving the invulnerability.
- Upgrade 2 – Rather than surviving fatal damage, you’ll gain a permanent self revive that will recharge while you’re not downed.
- Instead of taking a death, you become temporarily invulnerable. Only available once per match.
- Shattered Shield
- When your armor plates break, you’ll damage or stun nearby enemies.
- Upgrade 1 – The final shatter will give you invulnerability.
- Upgrade 2 – The final shatter will trigger a photon round & drop a healing capsule, while also damaging enemies.

- Gravitation Reaction
- If you take melee damage, a black hole could be spawned that displaces or damages enemies.
- Upgrade 1 – Can trigger from ranged attacks as well.
- Upgrade 2 – Can affect enemies that are around the initial affected enemy.

Black Ops 7 Season 1 Multiplayer Content
New Multiplayer Maps
On the launch of Season 1 for BO7, players will gain access to 6 new multiplayer maps. This will consist of both 4 new multiplayer maps, as well as 2 returning & remastered classic maps from BO2. For fans of the BO2 Campaign, two of these new multiplayer maps will seem familiar, while the other two are new locations not yet seen before. The new maps in BO7 Season 1 Multiplayer are:
Utopia – Launch

The former research facility for The Guild now serves a new purpose under Alden Dorne. This 6v6 map is a three-lane sleek battlefield, sporting a Showroom, Restaurant, Garden Statue, & Display Home. The outer lanes are a border of the map, where dropping down could will fatal consequences.
Fate – Launch

Based on the BO2 Campaign Mission ‘Time & Fate’, players fight in a dream sequence style rendition of Menendez’s Nicaraguan compound. Battle through either the center of the map, & through the church, or on the outskirt lanes. The outer lanes of the map hold portals to different areas of the map, that could provide an advantage against your opponents.
Odysseus

Based around the BO2 Campaign Mission ‘Oddyseus’, this map takes place upon the U.S.S. Obama. In what appears to be moment frozen in time, players will battle in the remnant of David Mason’s memories. The barracks provide CQB, while longer range encounters happen on the upper deck & bridge.
Standoff – Launch

This all-time classic map from BO2 returns in Season 1 for Black Ops 7. Engage in long distance battles through the center of the map in the street, or cut past the stone wall & into the house for a better vantage point upstairs. Take the side routes into the gas station, or on the other side through the graveyard. Both lead to the warehouse or hostel on either side of the map.
Sleighjacked – In-Season

The classic map Hijacked recieves a holiday themed revamp in Sleighjacked! Festive themed decor gives the map a wonderful feel, just in time for the holidays! Battle above & below deck to gain the advantage against your foes in this fan-favorite map.
We can later expect to see 2 classic map remasters, as well as a brand new map coming in the Mid-Season update. Fans will get to experience both Meltdown & Fringe once again in the Mid-Season update, alongside the new & original map, Yakei.
New Multiplayer Modes
Prop Hunt – Launch
This classic mode has returned from previous Call of Duty entries. With a random selected prop, hide from the hunters as you try to survive till the end of the round timer. Props will whistle every 30 seconds however, so be in your toes to make a dash for it & deploy whatever tactics needed to escape.
Sharpshooter – Launch
One of the many party modes returning, players will test their skills against others with randomly selected weapons. These weapons will change every 45 seconds, & will continue until the score limit is reached or the timer hits zero.
One in the Chamber – Launch
Keep your aim on point as One in the Chamber returns. Armed with only a pistol containing 1 bullet, a knife, & three lives, players will battle for the top position using precision & grit. Perhaps you’re even able to pick up bullets off of eliminated enemies.
Sticks & Stones – Launch Window
Players are armed with a knife, combat axe, &. Crossbow. The first one to the score limit wins, with points coming from any & all eliminations. However, if you decide to use that combat axe, you can setback any opponent back to 0. However, this applies to you as well if you’re hit with one.
Gun Game – Launch Window
The ICONIC Gun Game returns in Black Ops 7 Season 1. Everyone starts out with the same weapon, & as you get eliminations, you progress up a tier. Every tier is a new weapon, & your goal is to reach the final weapon tier. If you eliminate an enemy with melee attacks, you’ll demote them to the previous tier weapon. This can also happen to you however, so be wary.
Holiday Havoc – In-Season
This Holiday 6v6 Moshpit features the popular gamemodes:
- Domination
- Kill Confirmed
- Hardpoint
- Team Deathmatch
- Hardcore Domination
- Hardcore Kill Confirmed
- Hardcore Hardpoint
- Hardcore Team Deathmatch
This LTM Moshpit will reward players for playing the objective, & working as a team. This reward will come in the form of UAV reveal assists, & Holiday Cheer. The more holiday cheer built up for your team, the more festive treat bonuses you unlock in a match. Keep your eyes on the sky as care package presents will randomly drop in-game.
Snowfight – In-Season
Armed with only snowballs, you’ll need to eliminate enemies until the none are left standing. There are no respawns in this mode.
New Scorestreaks
Deadeye Drone – Launch Window

The Deadeye drone is a player controlled aircraft with a sniper rifle attached. This will be able to be unlocked through the Weekly Challenges. The Overclock abilities for the Deadeye drone include:
- Grenadier
- Attaches a grenade to drop on enemies.
- Extended Mag
- Allows for more ammo in the Snipers magazine.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Zombies Content
New Round-Based Zombies Map – Astra Malorum

Black Ops 7 will be receiving its second round-based experience in Season 1 – Astra Malorum. The latest round-based experience takes place in a 20th Century Observatory, displaced from its original home, & now floating in the rings of Saturn. Our team searches for their next ShadowSmith, but newfound horrors await them within the cold void of space..
New Enemies

The O.S.C.A.R. is a brand new enemy coming in Astra Malorum. This cyborg guards the Observatory & all the secrets that lie within it. The O.S.C.A.R. will investigate an area after a disturbance is created, & will patrol afterwards. If it happens to detect you, it will pursue. O.S.C.A.R. has a few abilities to take on enemies, including:
- Drone Shield
- These will deploy to protect O.S.C.A.R. from any incoming damage. It’s best to take these out quickly.
- Attack Drones Hologram
- These holograms will launch directly at players. If they hit, zombies nearby the affected player will be attacked with extra aggression.
- Internal Circuitry Projectile
- If a player is out of reach, O.S.C.A.R. will take non-essential parts of itself & hurl them at the players.
- Tesla Field
- This will emit from O.S.C.A.R. & damage nearby players.
New Wonder Weapon

The LGM-1 or ‘Little Green Menace’ will launch mini saucers at enemies, complete with deadly lasers. The saucers launched will circle around enemies, usually the closest, & will fire until the enemy stops moving, or they return to the weapon for a refill. One of the more unique wonder weapons to come from Zombies, the LGM-1 is certainly one to wield.
New Traps
The ‘Stellar Dissector’ is staged in the Observatories Luminarium. Having been attached to a Tesla coil, the Dissector will fire beams all around the room like a laser show. These beams are deadly, to both the undead & players alike.

There is also the ‘Apogee Annihilator’. After completing certain steps ahead of time, you’ll be able to find this turret stationed out in the Astronomers Courtyard. This turret will fire missiles at enemies.
Astra Malorum Main Quest Rewards
The rewards for completing the main Astra Malorum quest will include a new operator skin, calling card, & 10,000 XP. For those who complete the Astra Malorum Mastery Challenge, you’ll earn a second calling card. Obtain all the Intel required to unlock a third calling card, & 10,000 more XP. If you complete the main quest before Directed Mode releases for Astra Malorum, you’ll unlock an early completion variant of the calling card.
New Zombies Survival Maps – Exit 115 & Cosmodrome
There will be two zombies survival maps coming with Season 1 in BO7. Exit 115 will release on the launch of Season 1 for Black Ops 7 alongside Astra Malorum. This survival map is based on the Diner POI from Ashes of the Damned, similar to Vandorn Farm Survival (releases on BO7 Launch). Later on in Season 1 (mid season), we’ll see the launch of the survival map, Cosmodrome. This will take place on the cosmodrome POI that’s also found in Ashes of the Damned.
Directed Mode for Ashes of the Damned
Directes Mode is finally releasing for Ashes of the Damned. For players who’ve been seeking some assistance in getting the Main Quest done, this is the mode for you. Directed Mode will guide you through the main quest, & cap off at certain rounds so it’s manageable for newer players.
Completion of the Ashes of the Damned main quest in Directed Mode will award players with the ‘Bushwalker’ skin for Maya, completion calling card, along with 5,000 XP. An additional calling card can be earned for collecting all necessary intel.

Cursed Mode – Astra Malorum
Cursed Mode will be available for Astra Malorum, similar to that of Ashes of the Damned. There will also be 6 new relics to discover, as well as new rewards earn for completion of the main quest in Cursed.

Returning Perk – Mule Kick
Mule Kick has returned to Zombies! For those unfamiliar, Mule Kick allows you to carry 3 primary weapons. Including your dedicated melee slot, that gives you four weapons. Mule Kick will have 4 Major Augments & 4 Minor Augments, which include the following;
- Major Augments
- Pack Mule
- You can carry more ammo in your stock.
- Free Throw
- Chance to retain equipment when thrown. Excludes Combat Axes.
- Ol’ Relaible
- Your third primary weapon will be recovered, once you repurchase Mule Kick upon losing it.
- Multi Pack
- Pack-a-Punching a weapon you have may just upgrade another weapon you’re holding to the same tier. Chances increase with each Pack-A-Punch upgrade.
- Pack Mule
- Minor Upgrades
- Fully Equipped
- Allows you to carry one additional tactical & lethal equipment.
- Plate Hunter
- You can carry one additional armor plate in your reserve.
- BOGO
- If you craft a piece of equipment, you’ll get one for free if you have the space in your inventory.
- Kick Back
- Get a discount on Perks purchased.
- Fully Equipped
Returning Content
Seasonal content that was added throughout Black Ops 6 Zombies will be carried forward into Season 1 once the update drops. This content includes the Light Mend Ammo Mod, as well as the Mister Peeks Field Upgrade, & Frost Blast Field Upgrade. They’ll also have additional major & minor augments for them. The extra augments for them are the following:
- Light Mend
- Major – Booster Shot
- The healing glyph can overcharge your health.
- Minor – Mitosis
- Each activation can create an extra Healing glyph.
- Major – Booster Shot
- Shatter Blast
- Major – Blast Shield
- If you damage multiple enemies with Shatter Blast, it will mitigate the danger you take.
- Minor – Blast Through
- Weapons with Shatter Blast will deal more damage through enemy armor.
- Major – Blast Shield
- Tesla Storm
- Major – Haywire
- Send out electrical charges that stun & damage enemies while Tesla Storm is active.
- Minor – Amped
- Increases the storms damage & stun field.
- Major – Haywire
- Frost Blast
- Major – Stone Cold Stronghold
- Incoming damage is reduced while inside the blizzard.
- Minor – Deep Chill
- Enemies will remain slowed after leaving the blizzard.

Warzone Season 1 Content
With the launch of Season 1 in Warzone, a new map will be introduced into Resurgence, known as Haven’s Hollow. For Zombies fans they may recognize a couple of the locations within Haven’s Hollow, but the entire map ion display in Warzone. To pair with this, map rotation will be reintroduced into the Warzone Resurgence playlist. The playlist will cycle between Haven’s Hollow, & Rebirth Island.
