Season 6 of Modern Warfare 2 is currently scheduled for release on September 27th, and with it comes several new DLC Weapons. MW2 Season 6 Is set to bring back a fan favorite weapons from Modern Warfare 2019 along with a Halloween themed melee weapon. Here’s every leaked weapon for MWII and Warzone Season 6.
How Many Weapons Are Coming in Season 6
The usual dataminers, Task Force 141 Leakers, have revealed three DLC weapons that will launch in Season 6. Every season of Modern Warfare II has dropped anywhere from 4-6 weapons, which means the three weapons that were found are likely for Season 6’s launch window, not including bonus weapons that may be added for Season 6 Reloaded. New weapons can be added through Battlepass tiers, mode specific unlock challenges or seasonal event rewards.
The ISO-9 Submachine Gun
Modern Warfare (2019) introduced the ISO submachine gun during Season 5 of it’s lifecycle. Modern Warfare 2 already has an ISO weapon platform, which contains the ISO Hemlock assault rifle and ISO 45 submachine gun. For those wondering why another ISO SMG is being added, think of the M13C and Lachmann Shroud, which use different ammo types from the M13B and Lachmann sub. Although the ISO-9 and ISO-45 share a similar name, they’ll inevitably have different ammo types, fire rates and attachment options.
The Dual Kamas Melee Weapon
Players familiar with the Scythe in Black Ops Cold War (2020) or DUAL Kamas from WARFRAME will be intrigued for the Grim Reaper themed melee weapon coming to Season 6. It’s no surprise that with a Halloween focus for Season 6, we’ll receive a melee weapon that’ll sit well in the hands of the new celebrity operators. There haven’t been many melee weapons added to the MW2 arsenal, unlike Black Ops 3 which added a dozen. The dual kamas are likely to release right as the halloween event begins in Modern Warfare 2, possibly at the start of Season 6.
The Bruen MK9 Light Machine Gun
Another weapon featured in Modern Warfare (2019) is the Bruen MK9, which was considered meta in Warzone for quite some time. Modern Warfare 2 has yet to introduce a new LMG, which leaves the door open for a powerful addition to it’s weapon class, like the Bruen. There’s already a Bruen platform in MW2, featuring several weapons such as the HCR 56 and the STB 556. the Aside from the free unlock challenge for this weapon, there will also be blueprints sold for the weapon throughout Season 6. Players can also exfil with the weapon in DMZ to unlock it for free.
