Before the release of MW2, there was a rumor about being able to mix and match camos together for each weapon. When we got the initial launch blog for Modern Warfare 2, there was an image that seemed to confirm that rumor… until the image was removed and was never officially mentioned. Now that we know MW3 will have MW2 items, this feature may be officially coming. Here’s what you need to know:

Have you ever wished you had the ability to combine two of your favorite weapon camos into one beautiful creation? Call of Duty originally seemed to wish the same thing and had a feature that was ultimately scrapped for MW2 that would allow you to mix camos! This feature was rumored before the launch of the game, and seemed to be an actual feature until they decided to remove it (hence why we always say take rumors with a grain of salt).
With the recent announcement made via the Call of Duty Twitter, we now know for sure that the MW2 inventory (weapons, operators, etc.) will be transferring to the next title. This means we could have Orion PLUS another mastery camo in the game at the same time! This makes us believe the feature will make a debut in MW3, since the amount of camos, weapons, etc. will warrant a reason as to bringing the feature into the game.
Personally, I think it’s a great thing to have! Back in BO3 and WWII, we had a feature that allowed you to make your own camos using a feature similar to the old emblem editor. This allowed you to add your own camo on top of a camo already in the game!
Of course, if added, you most likely won’t be able to make your own camo like you used to be able to, but you will certainly be able to mix and match two together or maybe more! The customization would be endless!
