Black Ops 7 ‘Endgame’ Mode Explained | 32 Player Open World Level

With Black Ops 7 being revealed, there was a surprise with an all new mode tied to the Campaign. In BO7, players can play an all new extraction mode called Endgame as a reward for beating the Campaign. Endgame in Black Ops 7 is aimed to be a new attempt at DMZ and an open world experience for the Call of Duty franchise! Ready to learn more? Here’s what you need to know.

WHAT IS ‘ENDGAME’?

Black Ops 7’s Campaign features a brand new, but very familiar, bonus after completing the Campaign. Titled ‘Endgame’, players will finally get to explore the entirety of Avalon together. The best way we can describe Endgame is the love child of Blackout, DMZ, and MWZ; bringing the best of all worlds to create an engaging and replayable co-op experience.

HOW ‘ENDGAME’ WORKS

Endgame will feature a 4 player squad co-op experience (you can also play it solo) on the Avalon map where up to 32 total players will be in the same match completing various objectives. Similar to MWZ, there will be tiered regions that will vary by difficulty; Tiers 1 – 4 will be present on the map featuring new difficulties that can offer bigger rewards.

Since it is tied to the Campaign, whatever you unlock during the story can be used in Endgame. Stuff like the Grapple Hook, Drone Charmer, and other abilities unlocked through your time in the story will give you an edge in Avalon. However, don’t think it’ll be a walk in the park just because you and your team came strapped with abilities. Just because you unlocked these items, doesn’t mean they’re going to be easily replaceable if you lose your operator.

Each player will have a specific operator they can level up and progress with. Similar to MWII’s DMZ and MWIII’s MWZ, but with a new twist. There isn’t the standard loot system as before. What you bring back are operator abilities and skills for them. If you full die, you lose them, so stay alert. Thankfully, it’s a PVE and not PVP mode, so other players can’t grief your progress.

There will be Guild Activities you can shut down throughout the map, which will provide you with rewards. You can obtain skills which will provide players with a new form of progression that’s never-before-seen in the franchise.

CONNECTED EXPERIENCE

Of course, with it being tied to the Co-Op Campaign, you and 3 other friends can explore Endgame together. There can be a max of 32 players in one lobby, and your team will be connected via Cerebral Link.

You can also level up both your selected operator and your account levels. Operator rank and player rank are separate, but are earned at the same time. You can also grind weapon levels and campaign camos in Endgame.
