Black Ops 7’s Campaign will bring us back to the future with a world of fear, regrets, and past decisions set in the year 2035 and reuniting players with fan-favorite characters such as David Mason & Mike Harper with brand new faces as well. Treyarch will be crafting a brand new thrilling story for BO7’s Campaign being a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 it’s bound to excite players. The amazing team at Treyarch and Raven that’s behind the highly anticipated Black Ops 2 sequel has just revealed new bombshell information on Black Ops 7’s Campaign. Let’s break it down:
CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW
Black Ops 7’s co-op Campaign experience will take players back into a familiar era set in 2035. The storyline weaves a narrative of futuristic technology with David Mason investigating a brand new tech company known as ‘The Guild’. BO7 explores themes of fear & manipulation as David fights off the mind-linking system called the ‘Direct Neural Interface’ (short for DNI) used for psychological warfare.
DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Black Ops 7’s Campaign will be led once again by Raven Software in collaboration with Treyarch. The team promises to bring players the most mind-bending Black Ops game ever developed as the next evolution of Black Ops. Players have a lot to look forward to later this year with BO7.
FUTUREISTIC SETTING
With the return of the futuristic setting for the Call of Duty franchise (last seen in 2018’s Black Ops 4) this setting paves the way for Treyarch and Raven to go wild for this Campaign experience. Set 10 years right after the events of Black Ops 2, players will navigate around Avalon’s Mediterranean coast and other locations as the world is still recovering after Menendez’s drone attacks in 2025.
‘The Guild’ (precisely involved in weapon trafficking, human trafficking and trained assassins 40 year prior as they were originally known as Avalon’s biggest crime family) has stepped in as they’ve recently rebranded themselves as a futuristic Tech Company pivoting to consumer electronics cultivating as the “good guys” and calling out big Tech giants promoting AI such as, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, & Tesla. Bruno Guild promises protection and exposes mind-altering weapons. As a global threat is set in motion decade after the events of Black Ops 2. Menendez thought to be dead has returned!

NEW ENDGAME MODE
Treyarch will introduce a brand new experience accessible to players by completing the linear missions of the Campaign and for the final mission, players will be thrown into an endgame experience. This new “Endgame” mode is the final proving ground of everything you’ve learned. This mode opens the entire map of Avalon & supports up to 32 players to explore the environment which will be an endless session being a hybrid of MWZ and Blackout also allowing shared progression between players.
MISSION VARITY AND GAMEPLAY
Players throughout the Campaign will be able to unlock special abilities such as:
- Cyber Attack
- Uzain Bolt Shock
- Grapple Hook
- Drone Kit
- Shield
- Jump War
- Camo
- Machine
- Melee
these equipments can be equipped in the new ‘Endgame’ Mode & will be attainable via XP & Skills. Squad wipes will cause players to lose all their special abilities for the specific operator they’ve had equipped. Characters are connected via ‘Cerebral Link Shared Data’ in battle which will include shared hallucinations in-game
