Black Ops 7 Season 6 The Haunting Release Date and Content

Modern Warfare 4 is around the corner, and so is spooky season! Every Halloween we get The Haunting as a holiday event, but with the next Call of Duty installment releasing earlier in the yearly cycle that means the event gets released earlier too, right?

Season 6 Release Date

Through the Battle Pass tab we know that the current Season 5 Battle Pass is set to end at the 17th of September.
That means we can expect Season 6 to start on September 17th, 2026.

At the moment it is unconfirmed whether that is the case or not, although previous seasons in the current Black Ops 7 lifecycle all followed the same timing.
With Modern Warfare 4 being released on the 16th of October with Campaign Early Access it is unlikely Season 6 will have a Reloaded update.

What is The Haunting?

The Haunting is Call of Duty’s event for the Halloween holiday, bringing iconic horror-franchise characters to the game as playable Operators such as Michael Meyers, The Terrifier, Spawn and more.

On top of that we can expect limited time experiences throughout the event.
In previous iterations of The Haunting we have had a Halloween themed Rebirth Island with a floating Shipment island (which players could control) and even Al Mazrah with different Points of Interest such as a full-on Diablo crossover, swap monsters and mummies.

Every iteration of The Haunting we also had a Zombie themed game mode return, which turns into a match of infected on the Warzone maps where players fight to survive against player controlled Zombies, the Zombies hunting the players and getting vials per kill to be respawned as a human again.
Nothing is known of the upcoming event yet, but it is very likely that this game mode will return.

What can we expect of Season 6?

With Season 6 being Black Ops 7 its final season we can expect a bunch of content, however there will not be a new Round Based Zombies map at the Reloaded update as Rex Infernus was the final map of the game.

Although that being the case, we can still expect the Directed Mode for Rex Infernus to be released, alongside additional survival maps.
Of course the usual content like a new Battle Pass, Operators, game modes, maps and weapons are to be expected to be added to the game, along with weapon balancing for all game modes.

It is not known if Endgame will get updates with Season 6 in the form of a new Act, skill tracks or Abilities like we have received in previous seasons.

THE END

That’s a wrap on what could be the final Season update in Black Ops 7!
