The Modern Warfare/Warzone 2 Season 4 Update brought back a feature we haven’t seen since Black Ops 4 in 2018.
Blackout Battle Royale Content Added to Warzone
Modern Warfare 2’s Season 4 Blackcell Battlepass gave us some new exclusive cosmetics to use within COD 2.0 for our enjoyment. Along with the addition of multiple animated operators, blueprints, and vehicle skins, the Blackcell pass also gave us our first Parachute and Contrail cosmetics exclusive to the premier battlepass upgrade!
These were last seen in Black Ops 4’s Battle Royale mode: Blackout. They were called ‘Jump Packs’ inside of the revolutionary BR mode, and came in all sorts of designs and colors. From flags to abstract designs, jump packs had it all inside of Blackout.
Blackout really paved the way for a lot of things inside of the Call of Duty space, and we see that more and more with every update. The cosmetics we got in Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 exactly mimic what we had back in 2018, as shown below.
What will be added next in terms of cosmetics from previous Call of Duty titles? Watch cosmetics have seem to be dropped, in place for the weapon screen cosmetic we now have in Modern Warfare 2. Other then that, we will have to wait and see if any cosmetics from Legacy Games make their way into COD 2.0 through bundles or battlepasses.
