With the release of Season 1 on November 14th, we’ll see some familiar elements making a return. One of these returns is the ‘Saug’ SMG, whose been dormant since Black Ops 4 back in 2018. Season 1 is packed with weapons players can get their hands on. Today, we’re taking a look at the returning SMG:
THE SAUG IS BACK
The Saug SMG hasn’t been seen in a Call of Duty entry since Black Ops 4. After 6 years, the heavily used SMG returns to the battlefield. The best part of it? It will be available on launch of Season 1!

Fully automatic submachine gun. Excellent mobility and good handling. Great rate of fire. High recoil.
Pepper your enemies with a hailstorm of lead using this rapid-fire SMG that’s perfect for breaching and clearing small spaces. The Saug kicks up like a horse when fired down sights; pull down when aiming to counter the recoil or better yet improve the weapon’s already great hip-fire capabilities with the appropriate attachments, including the Tactical Laser for a killer combo of mobility and accuracy via Tactical Stance. Or go all out on hip-fire with the Akimbo Saug Stock for unmatched SMG firepower.
HOW TO UNLOCK THE SAUG
The base Saug SMG will be available in the HVT Tier on Page 3 of the Battle Pass. To unlock access to it, you must first claim all the other rewards on Page 3. Claim these rewards using Battle Pass tokens that you earn in-game. Once they’re claimed, spend one more token on the HVT tier & claim your brand new Saug to slay with in Multiplayer!
In case you want to access another Saug, head on over to Page 11 of the Battle Pass & repeat the process you used to unlock the base weapon. The only difference is that the HVT tier reward will be a Blueprint for the Saug.
