115 Day is upon us, Zombies fans rejoice! January 15th stands as a special day for fans of the survival mode where you fight off endless hordes of the undead. Treyarch definitely didn’t miss with reveals & news this year to satiate the undead, hungering for more updates on the mode. Today, we’re going over everything revealed on 115 Day, the new Zombies map releasing later this month in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, & other updates coming to BO as well. Here’s what you need to know.
QOL UPDATES COMNG
Treyarch left fans with some major Quality of Life updates coming soon to Black Ops 6. Features fans have been requesting for a while now are finally coming to the game. Let’s go over each QOL coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6:
AFK KICK LOADOUT RECOVERY
In the event a player is kicked out of a game for inactivity during a Co-op game, you’ll now be able to rejoin that game. Only difference is, you’ll be able to restore your loadout. This was a frustrating issue players dealt with, having to start from nothing after rejoining due to kicks for inactivity. Speaking of Co-op games…
CO-OP PAUSE
Highly requested since the launch of Black Ops 6, Co-op pause will soon be available to players in Season 2. So long as everyone is in the same party, the party leader will be able to pause the game for all members. This allows everyone to grab their snack, rest their eyes, or regroup with a new strategy. Glad to see it finally coming to BO6.
SEPARATE HUD PRESETS FOR ZOMBIES & MULTIPLAYER
Players will finally be able to set HUD preset settings you’d like use for Zombies & keeping an entirely different HUD preset for Multiplayer. No longer will you have to keep changing them as you switch between the modes. Treyarch noted they wanted this feature out sooner, but higher priorities took the focus of their team.
Challenge & Near Completion Tracking
Now for the big one. Challenge & Camo tracking are finally coming to Black Ops 6! You’ll be able to track up to 10 Camo Challenges & 10 Calling Card Challenges per mode. This will help you keep track on your progress for whatever challenge you’re choosing to track. If you choose less than 10 Camo or Calling Card Challenges, a challenge you’re nearest to completing will automatically display in the open slots. Your top tracked or near completion challenges will appear in both the options menu & the lobby.
DOUBLE XP
Cal of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be rolling out a version of Quad Feed Double XP for players this week. Double Player XP, Double Weapon XP, Double Battle Pass XP, & Double Gobblegum Earn Rate. This will be live from January 15th to January 21st. Gives players plenty of time to reach higher prestige’s, max weapon levels, finish their battle passes, or stock up on Gobblegums before the launch of Season 2’s new map:
DLC 2 – “THE TOMB” REVEALED
The second DLC for Black Ops 6 Zombies has been revealed! Previously referred to as the “Dig Site”, Treyarch have revealed their newest entry into the Zombies story, “The Tomb”. Weaver, Carver, Grey, & Maya make their way to an old excavation site in search of the Sentinel Artifact. This site was built upon a tomb 7 burial ground for the ancients. Undisturbed until a crew began excavating back in 1908, The Tomb is sure to hold ancient secrets & mysteries our crew likely didn’t bargain for.
The Tomb is set to release with the launch of Season 2 on January 28th. The map has been mentioned to contain a reimagined Wonder Weapon from the past, evocative new Pack-A-Punch camos, the most iconic SMG in Zombies history, new main quest, side easter eggs, & a similar playing experience to Liberty Falls. The Tomb OST will also be dropping at the end of the month, as conformed by Treyarch. Kevin Sherwood and the team are hard at work creating a fantastic soundtrack, featuring a special guest vocalist!
