What WONT Carry Forward to Black Ops 7?
As of August 26th 2025, Call of Duty has came out and said the entirety of Carry Forward has been cancelled for all Black Ops 6 Operators, Operator Skins, and Weapons. The reasoning comes from a new Community Update blog from Activision, stating “Black Ops 7 needs to feel authentic to Call of Duty and its setting.” which is a big shock to Call of Duty fans due to it feeling like nothing would ever change with the type of skins released in the franchise.
Future Cosmetics in Black Ops 7
Detailed in the same blog post, Activision explain how “in Black Ops 7, bundles and items will be crafted to fit the Black Ops identity.” claiming they have heard our feedback and how they want to deliver a better balance with wacky and immersive skins, to maintain the Call of Duty Experience.
