Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has been revealed to have a set release date for late October, according to the Verge. Recent rumors suggest a Day 1 Xbox Game Pass integration, while the early access to Black Ops 6 Zombies has also been reported. Here’s everything we know on the Black Ops 6 release date, platform support and more:
WHAT PLATFORMS CAN YOU PLAY BLACK OPS 6
It’s unlikely that last gen hardware such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One won’t receive the new Call of Duty title, as many players have yet to move to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
While Black Ops 6 marks the end of PlayStation exclusive content drops, the game will still be released on the following platforms:
- PlayStation 4
- Xbox One
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC (Battlenet & Steam)
BLACK OPS 6 GAME PRICES
If recent years of Call of Duty are anything to go off of, then these are the likely prices on each platform, which are of course subject to change:
- $69.99 – Standard Edition (Crossplay Compatible)
- $99.99 – Vault Edition (TBD)
- $TBD – Game Pass Subscription (TBD)

Someone has reportedly put money down for a pre order, despite rewards not being announced yet. Pre Orders will likely go live following the Xbox showcase event on June 9th.
BLACK OPS 6 REVEAL EVENT
Just this month, Microsoft confirmed an Xbox showcase event which takes place on Sunday, June 9th. Directly after the Xbox showcase finishes, there will be another event named “[REDACTED] Direct” begin, revealing new details about Black Ops 6 and potentially showing gameplay.
Warzone also added a Black Ops 6 inspired Easter Egg allowing players to unlock the Sally blueprint. More teasers could be added to the game ahead of the June 9th reveal.
BLACK OPS 6 PRE ORDER BONUS
It appears one of the pre order bonuses for Black Ops 6 will be a skin for Frank Woods. Woods was added as a bonus skin in Modern Warfare (2019) for pre ordering Black Ops Cold War (2020).
As of now, no images of the skin have leaked, and this won’t be the ONLY pre order bonus for Black Ops 6. It’s been speculated that we’ll also see additional bonuses for pre ordering, which will likely be revealed with the Xbox showcase event on June 9th.
BLACK OPS 6 BETA & EARLY ACCESS
Strangely enough, Windows Central has reported that players can get several weeks of early access to the Zombies mode within Black Ops 6. This would mark the first time a Zombies beta has been offered to fans.
BLACK OPS 6 RELEASE DATE
According to a new report from The Verge, the next Black Ops title from Treyarch is scheduled to release October 25th. Previous Call of Duty titles that released in October include Black Ops 4 (2018) and Modern Warfare (2019). Black Ops 4 got announced in March, followed by a global reveal in May of 2018.
If there is a multiplayer beta, early access campaign or even a Zombies beta, then these dates will likely be announced during the Xbox games showcase.
BLACK OPS 6 ON GAME PASS DAY 1
The Wallstreet Journal just reported that Black Ops 6 is expected to launch Day 1 on Xbox Game Pass, but it’s unclear what the pricing would look like.
This change will encourage players on Xbox hardware or PC to subscribe to game pass, or for players on PlayStation to potentially jump ship. This will inevitably change Call of Duty forever.
