The first gameplay for Black Ops 6 Zombies has been revealed following a viral teaser video that went live this past Sunday. This early BO6 Zombies gameplay reveals what could be confirmation of a set crew, as well as what characters may be featured on launch. Two round based maps are reportedly releasing when Black Ops 6 releases: Liberty Falls and Terminus Island (Blacksite 13). Here’s everything there is to know about Black Ops 6 Zombies gameplay and the set crew:
FIRST BLACK OPS 6 ZOMBIES GAMEPLAY
As part of today’s Black Ops 6 – The Truth Lies viral marketing campaign, a few creators were sent a TV and VCR along with a tape to play in it. Upon viewing this tape, viewers quickly noted that there were flashes of actual gameplay from Black Ops 6 within glitched frames of the tape.
After extraction, we saw a few different bits of BO6, but we are here to highlight one specific scene – our first glimpse at Black Ops 6 Zombies.
MAIN CHARACTERS REVEALED EARLY
In the small clip we see, we can make out a man and a woman, running and sliding through a crowd of zombies on both sides. Initially, the video seems too low quality to make out the characters. However, on closer inspection, there is enough here to at least identify the male character.
Judging by the pants, jacket, and outline of a hood – it seems as though the male character is actually Grigori Weaver – returning from Black Ops Cold War. You can actually identify Weaver because he is wearing the same clothes his corpse is wearing in Modern Warfare III Zombies – Thanks to CodLoreFacts for pointing this one out!
SET CREW IN BLACK OPS 6 ZOMBIES
If this is Weaver, then the natural next conclusion to come to is that this is in fact the confirmation of a set crew of characters in Black Ops 6 Zombies! Rather than simply “the multiplayer operators” silently existing during Zombies’ events, it seems as though Treyarch have heard our pleas for a return to a canonical group of characters with more involved dialogue.
Zombies fans across the web are sure to be rejoicing. However, we feel that not only can we pick out Weaver in this footage, but even figure out who the other character is too!
IDENETITY OF MYSTERIOUS WOMAN
If Weaver is a confirmed character for the Black Ops 6 Zombies set crew, who are the rest? Considering Weaver is dressed in the same attire he will wind up dead and buried with the rest of the Requiem heads in, the most likely assumption is that the rest of Requiem would be the crew. However, this female character in the clip is NOT dressed in the clothes of the only female character of Requiem, Dr. Elizabeth Grey. This means that she will be a character instead of one of the Requiem heads. While we don’t know if she is replacing Grey or someone else, we do think we know who she is.
Back in April a female actress named Chantelle Barry had posted a picture in full mocap gear, and was seemingly working on Call of Duty. Not only was she in the studio the same time as Gene Farber, who is the mocap actor for Grigori Weaver, her mocap helmet can also be seen featuring the Faze logo, and she commented on Gene’s post as well.
This seemingly confirms the work was on Call of Duty and alongside Weaver’s actor.
People on twitter have gone back and forth on whether or not that scene is a cutscene or gameplay, judging by the animations alone. If we’re correct here, it could very likely be a cutscene – the very cutscene that Chantelle and Gene were mocapping for. This would place 2 of the characters of the crew as Weaver and this new female character.
The other 2 are still likely to be other members of Requiem, but could possibly be revealed to be entirely new characters as well.

Chantelle’s bio says she is Burmese and Italian, and this could likely play into her character as well. Call of Duty writers love to pull from diverse backgrounds of their actors and writers to bring unique characterization into the fold, and this is a perfect opportunity.
A character of Burmese descent would likely be from Myanmar or near it, which is relatively close to the theorized location of Terminus Island from Black Ops Cold War’s post credits.
Perhaps Chantelle’s character is a local, and someone who teams up with Peck to help break out Requiem? Only time will tell.

It’s shocking that we managed to see a few seconds of Zombies gameplay before Campaign or Multiplayer, but Black Ops 6 is offer to a VERY strong start for marketing!
