Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 is HERE and has brought back the infamous fan-favorite, Rebirth Island. With Warzone’s most popular map returning in MWIII, there was also a new addition added to Rebirth that gives you more rewards to use in Modern Warfare III and Warzone. The Biometric Scanner allows you to earn rewards both in game and out of game in MW3 and Warzone! Here’s what you need to know:
WHAT ARE BIOMETRIC SCANNERS?
On launch of Season 3 came the return of Rebirth Island. With it came a new system on the map for players to utilize. They are found all across Rebirth Island and can offer you different rewards after getting a specific rarity of an ID Card that you can then turn into loot and rewards!
BIOMETRIC SCANNER LOCATIONS
There are TEN locations around Rebirth where the Biometric Scanners reside. ANY of these will work, so land in a match and find one of these to get a Daily Scan:
- Stronghold
- Living Quarters
- Factory
- Headquarters
- Control Center
- Prison
- Harbor
- Chemical Engineering
- Bio Weapons
- Industry
KEYCARD RARITIES
Scanning your ID at a Biometric Scanner will give you one of SIX rarities. Once you’ve gotten your card, you can take it to a Buy Station and select your card from the new menu option to get some loot.
Each rarity has their own special rewards with them, for example, the Polyatomic Card can give you a weapon with EIGHT attachments! If you are also playing with teammates, the closer you guys are to each other when scanning, the more likely you are to get a better rarity! Here are the rarities:
- Bronze (common)
- Silver (relatively common)
- Gold (uncommon)
- Platinum (rare)
- Polyatomic (very rare)
- Orion (incredibly rare)
DAILY SCAN REWARDS
You can receive more than just Buy Station rewards from Biometric Scanners. Daily Scans are when you log in every day and do at least one scan at ANY Biometric Scanner to earn rewards! You HAVE to keep doing a Daily Scan to keep track of each reward, or else you’ll have to restart. Here’s what you can earn after every other day:
- Day 3: Calling Card
- Day 7: 60 Minute Double XP Token
- Day 12: 60 Minute Double Weapon XP Token
- Day 17: “Encrypting” Animated Emblem
- Day 21: Loading Screen
- Day 27: “Welcome to The Mainframe” Weapon Camo
