The Ghoulie Animated Camo will go live in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone on Tuesday, October 24th at 10am PT, 12pm CT, and 1pm ET. As a part of The Haunting “Soul Capture” event in MW2 & Warzone, it requires players to collect souls to redeem them for rewards, and this camo is no different. The Ghoulie Camo Previewed!
Here’s a look at the Ghoulie animated animated camo being unlocked in game. The Ghoulie camo can be applied to any weapon in Modern Warfare 2, and will be fully transferrable onto MW2 specific weapons inside of Modern Warfare 3.
How to Unlock
The Ghoulie Camo is the 18th and final unlock in the Soul Capture Event. It will become available to redeem on Tuesday, October 24th.
To unlock it, it will require a certain amount of Souls. If we compare this event to the Trophy Hunt Event that happened during Season 03, we can assume this Camo will be worth 1000 Souls to unlock. That is a LOT of playtime to grind out one camo, but we know a few ways to gain more souls faster!
THE FASTEST SOUL GRINDING METHOD
Veteran players may have assuming that Shipment 24/7 is the fastest method to earn Souls, as the games have a chance of ending quickly. While that may have been the case for previous seasonal events, collecting souls couldn’t be faster in Al Mazrah Resurgence or Vondel Lockdown. Currenly, the soul cap is 18 in multiplayer, 25 in DMZ, 25 in lockdown and a solid 30 for Warzone. Players must finish the match of multiplayer for the souls to track, while they don’t have to stay in a full match of Warzone at all.
The fastest soul farming method we discovered, involves raiding the ghost train in Al Mazrah Resurgence, collecting as many souls as possible followed by backing out and restarting. If players need a change of pace, they can also jump into Vondel Lockdown where they can quickly kill dozens of players and open plenty of chests to achieve max souls for that match.
Defeating Bosses in DMZ is also a really good way to earn max Souls during a match quite easily, just make sure you care looted up and ready to take them on. To find out how to find ALL 5 Haunting Bosses in Al Mazrah, view the article below!
COLLECT MORE WITH THE SOUL HARVESTER BLUEPRINT
The ‘Soul Harvester’ Blueprint, only available through pre-ordering the VAULT EDITION of Modern Warfare 3. This is supposed to help players earn an additional amount of souls from killing enemies in Multiplayer, Warzone, and DMZ.
As it stands, the amount of souls dropped from enemies is rather inconsistent, as even without using the Soul Harvester enemies have a chance of dropping two to four souls. It’s likely that enemies are only meant to have a chance of dropping one soul after death, while the Soul Harvester blueprint is meant to give players a chance to earn 2-4 souls for each kill they get using it.
EARLY GHOULIE CAMO PREVIEW
This camo has been very popular with the community the past few months. It’s one of the BEST camos to come this year, and has fans dying to unlock it! It features a green/purple ANIMATED color scheme, and glows a little as well! The ghoulie camo looks noticeably different from when it initially leaked, but modifications to the camo can still occur even after the camo is officially released, as we’ve seen in previous seasonal events.
