With the recent release of Season 1 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, players are anticipating the next Season of content to drop. Season 2 of Black Ops 7 is rumored to be even larger than the Season 1, & that’s a high bar to overcome. With all the content we’re set to be potentially receiving however, it’s hard to argue with that sentiment. New updates coming to all modes, as well as plenty of camos, & the arrival of Ranked Play will keep players busy & the content well full. Today we’re going over everything we know so far coming to Season 2 of BO7. Here’s what you need to know:
Season 2 Release Date in Black Ops 7
According to the Battle Pass timer in-game, Season 2 is set to begin on February 5th. This is barring any delays or mishaps along the way. Treyarch is set to market some of the upcoming Zombies content for Season 2 on 115 day, or January 15th. Roughly 2 weeks after that, it’s expected that we see the Season 2 Blog Post drop to market all upcoming content for Black Ops 7.
Ranked Play Arrives in Season 2/Season 2 Reloaded
With Season 2 being possibly the latest before Ranked releases, players are wondering when we’ll be seeing the next iteration of Ranked Play drop. Along with Multiplayer Ranked, we should be seeing Ranked drop for Warzone as well. Treyarch & Raven teased that there will be the craziest camos rewards you can unlock through milestones, by playing Ranked in both modes.
According to leaker @RealityUK, we may not see Ranked come out until Season 2 Reloaded of BO7 & Warzone. When it comes to the camo rewards, they’re reportedly not set to release till Season 2.5, or Season 2 Reloaded.
Multitude of Camos Coming in Season 2
Reality also has indicated that there will be 13 different camos to earn, on top of all the camos you can get from Ranked Play between Season 2 & Season 2 Reloaded. These camos will come from every mode across BO7 & from Warzone as well. The camos coming in Season 2/Season 2 Reloaded will consist of:
- 2 Endgame Camos
- 2 Multiplayer Camos
- 2 Zombies Camos
- 2 Weekly Challenge Camos
- 2 Multiplayer Camos for a Leaderboard Event
- 2 Dead Ops Arcade Camos from a Leaderboard Event
- 1 Camo tied to a Season Event
- & All Camos coming in Season 2 Multiplayer & Warzone Ranked Play
New Event Pass & Possible Collab for Season 2
As per Reality’s tweet, we’re likely to receive another Event Pass in Season 2 of BO7. This will likely be a crossover event similar to Fallout that we got in Season 1 Reloaded. However, it could be an Event Pass focused to something in the Legacy Black Ops franchise, just like the Nuketown Event Pass we had in Black Ops 6 last year. It had provided different Nuketown themed rewards such as a Mannequin operator, animated camo, & other Nuketown cosmetics.
Potential Multiplayer Maps Coming in Season 2
When it comes to Multiplayer maps coming in Season 2, there have been a few that are on the table to potentially be coming. One of these maps is Stakeout, which was rumored & mined by Reality to potentially be carried forward from BO6 in Black Ops 7.
Another map that was confirmed by Matt Scronce during the COD POD to come in a future season was Vertigo. If you look out of bounds on the Express remaster, you can also spot Gridlock. It had also been teased in a recent blog post image.
New Weapons Coming to the Arsenal in Season 2
With the launch of Season 1 Reloaded in BO7, a list of weapon codenames have been found by RealityUK. There are new weapons for nearly every class in this list, only adding to the ever growing roster of weapons. Here are the following weapon codenames & classes they’re in:
- Alcor Pistol
- Bear SMG
- Coral Sniper
- Finch AR
- Nashira Melee
- Sargas Special
Some classic weapons that could be amongst these codenames could be the Locus Sniper, or even the AN-94 Assault Rifle.
Warzone Heats Up in Season 2
For one of the biggest content updates in Season 2, look no further than Warzone. The major talking point is the return of a Blackout type experience coming to Avalon. It’s unclear at this time if there will be a rotation between regular Verdansk BR & this new Blackout experience. Perhaps Avalon could even possibly support regular BR as opposed to just Verdansk. We could also see Season 2 launch with Avalon Warzone, while Season 2 Reloaded brings the Blackout experience.
For Rebirth, we got our first look at the refresh coming to the map. They won’t be doing anything crazy like changing Rebirth into Alcatraz (like Blackout), but instead will be leaving a fresh coat of snow across the map. Alongside this, a rotation with Fortunes Keep was confirmed to also be coming to Warzone during the BO7 lifecycle.
Classic Perk to Return Soon in BO7 Zombies
Recently, all of the major & minor augments for ‘Widows Wine’ were found by RealityUK. There are 8 in total, & are the following:
- Extension
- Haste
- Hatchling
- Lethal Equipment
- Tangled Web
- Web Spinner
- Wide Web
- Widows Bite
To go with all of these Augments being found, it’s also worth keeping note that the machines fill design leaked out not too long ago. This seemingly means Widows will be seemingly be our next perk we get inside of BO7 Zombies. With 115 Day, we’re likely to receive info on our next Zombies experience, such as a name reveal, images, POI reveals, etc.
