With the late release of Season 4 Reloaded, Call of Duty fans will only have to wait a short month before the release of Season 5 in Black Ops 6 & Warzone. Season 5 of BO6 & Warzone is set to bring a load of additions, including new operators, classic weaponry, new events, new Zombies content, & much more. Today, we’re going over everything we know about Season 5 of Black Ops 6 & Warzone including all content coming, as well as release dates, & more. Here’s what you need to know:
Season 5 Release Date in Black Ops 6 & Warzone
Season 5 is slated to release on August 7th 11AM CST, 12PM EST, & 9AM PST. This gives players a week & a couple days to complete their Season 4 Battle-Pass, before Season 5’s Battle-Pass rolls in.

Season 5 Battle Pass Offering
Players who purchase the Season 5 Battle Pass will be greeted with ‘Solace’, the brand new BlackCell is exclusive operators you can unlock. Radiating celestial energy, ‘Solace’ is ready to engage all hostiles. He will come with a new finishing move, a Mastercraft blueprint, Tracers & Death FX, as well as a weapon charm & the BlackCell clan tag.
Other Season 5 BlackCell offerings include several exclusive skins for several Operators, & several different weapons blueprints. This includes skins for the new operators, as well as for the new weapons releasing.
Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 5 Global Content
This is content that will be available across all modes in Black Ops 6, including Warzone.
New Weapons Coming in Season 5 of Black Ops 6
PML 5.56 – LMG
The newest LMG to join the armory, the PML 5.56 LMG holds one of the highest damage outputs & huge ammunition reserve. Though it holds a low mobility rate with pretty hard recoil. You’ll be able to unlock the PML on launch from the battle-pass through Page 3 & Page 11 (blueprint & BlackCell blueprint).
ABR A1 – Assault Rifle
With rapid 3-round bursts & high damage output, the ABR can prove to be a valuable weapon at your disposal. You can also unlock a fire mod to convert it to a full-auto, similar to the classic AUG. You’ll be able to unlock the ABR A1 Assault Rifle on launch from the battle-pass through Page 6 & Page 14 (blueprint & BlackCell blueprint).
Boxing Gloves – Melee
The boxing gloves have returned to Black Ops players. Hit em hard in Season 5 with the iconic gloves of steel. Fast attacks help make these things lethal, however, you’ll need to be up close to make the most of them. Heavy attacks also do some extra damage. You’ll be able to unlock the boxing gloves as an event reward later in season.
New Weapon Attachments Coming In Black Ops 6 Season 5
9MM PM Skull Splitter – Launch
This attachment will be able to convert your 9MM PM into a skull splitting machine. While reducing your rate of fire, this attachment will heavily increase your damage & precision, especially to your opponents cranium. Unlock this attachment through page 7 of the Battle-Pass.
PPSH-41 Helical Magazine – In Season
The Helical Magazine brings the fight with a high ammo count that’ll put other magazines in the dust. Keep an eye on the heat you put off as you balance spraying bullets. Don’t want to overheat your gun do you? Unlock the Helical Magazine through an event later in-season.
New Operators Coming in Black Ops 6 Season 5
With Season 5 of Black Ops 6, players will see the return of fan favorite Operator ‘Sims’. The highly regarded CIA operative makes his comeback to the field of action after being last seen in Cold War. To go along with Sims, ‘Solace’ will be making a debut in Black Ops 6 Season 5. Solace will be the BlackCell operator this season with his ethereal presence.
I Know What You Did Last Summer x Call of Duty
We got a teaser look at the first crossover coming in Season 5 of Black Ops 6 & Warzone. Call of Duty will be crossing over with ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. It appears we’ll be seeing the ‘Fisherman’ as the crossover operator, potentially with more to be announced later on.
New Events
‘90s Action Heroes – In Season
The ‘90s Action Heroes Event pays homage to all-time popular action movies. While the event format is unknown at this time, we do know there are 13 total rewards, including the returning boxing gloves & NEW Mister Peeks Field Upgrade.
Black Ops 6 Season 5 Multiplayer Content
Multiplayer Maps
There are 2 new maps releasing on launch of Season 5, as well as 1 classic map remastered & returning.
Runway – Launch – Core 6v6
Pursue your opponents through destroyed aircraft, tarnished terminals, & scattered luggage in ‘Runway’. All this chaos came about as a pantheon mole attempted to escape, & the Rogue Black Ops team gave chase.
Exchange – Launch – Strike 6v6 & 2v2
The Avalon Marketplace isn’t safe from the destruction the pantheon leaves in their wake. Fast paced action awaits those who play ‘Exchange’. Be it through the butcher shop, seafood market, or straight down the middle to the deli, players will need to be on their toes the entire time. ‘Exchange’ will be available on launch.
WMD – Launch – Core 6v6
The classic & iconic map ‘WMD’ makes another return to the Black Ops franchise. From what once was the nova 6 processing lab, WMD has been transformed into a luxury car manufacturing site in Avalon. While WMD lacks snow in this remaster, fans are excited to see it make another appearance in Black Ops 6.
Multiplayer Modes
Aim High – Launch
‘Aim High’ sets to challenge players aim as headshots will deal instant eliminations. If you shoot anywhere below the neck, damage will be significantly minimized. The variety mode will span across a few different modes including Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, & Hardpoint.
Snipers Only – In-Season
The return of the Wild West for snipers, ‘Snipers Only’ comes back around for fans of the mode. Having all but perks & Snipers themselves restricted, it’s a paradise looking for those who like to show off their sniping skills against their foes or against their friends.
Cranked Moshpit – In-Season
Cranked Moshpit places players in several modes where kills will earn you speed perks. Kills will also begin a countdown timer for a bomb on your operator. If the countdown reaches zero, you’re eliminated & will have to start your momentum over again. Chaining together eliminations can earn your team 2x the score.
Ranked Play – Launch Window
Ranked Play will be available starting during the launch window of Season 5 in Black Ops 6. Make your ways through the ranks by securing wins in Ranked Play games. Here are the various rewards you can earn while playing Ranked Play:

New Black Ops 6 Zombies Content in Season 5
‘The Reckoning’ – Launch
The finale map to the Black Ops 6 Zombies story ‘The Reckoning’, releases in Season 5 of Black Ops 6 Zombies. Requiem & Eddie make their way to the quickly crumbling Janus Towers, in what will likely be the final showdown with S.A.M. With Blanchard & Panos also being present in the facility, there’s bound to be a few confrontations. Cosmic chaos is bound to erupt here in ‘The Reckoning’!
New enemies await inside the halls of ‘The Reckoning’, including the new Elite enemy type, Mecha Klaus. To add to it, a new wave of enemies, Kommando Klaus will come in droves when the mist descends. A new wonder weapon will be at your disposal as well within the confines of the map, the Gorgofex.

New Modes/LTMs
Grief Mode: Reckoning – In-Season
Only one team will win in Grief. New arenas will be available on ‘The Reckoning’ later in-season for those who enjoy the Grief mode.
New Field Upgrades
Mister Peeks
With this new field upgrade, you’ll be able to unleash Mister Peeks onto the undead hordes. Once you’ve charged up your field upgrade, you can release Mister Peeks & he’ll attract normal & special enemies, similar to a monkey bomb. Mister Peeks will then attack the enemies similar in a way to the Homunculus did back in BO4.
Mister Peeks – Major & Minor Augments
The Mister Peeks Field Upgrade will contain both major & minor augments similar to all other field upgrades. These are the major augments for Mister Peeks:
- Major Augments
- Dance Party
- After attracting the crowds of undead foes, Mister Peeks will detonate an Aether pulse to shut the party down.
- Arcane Fury
- Mister Peeks will be able to amplify his damage with that of a random ammo mod.
- Apex Hunter
- Mister Peeks will focus all his energy on attacking the most powerful foes. Things like the Uber Klaus will be targeted over regular enemies.
- Dance Party
- Minor Augments
- Social Butterfly
- This augment will increase Mister Peek’s attraction radius.
- Peek’s Favor
- If you’re around a Mystery Box when you activate him with this augment, you’ll earn a free spin at the box.
- Party Animal
- Augment will increase Mister Peeks duration time.
- Social Butterfly
The Reckoning Zombies Leaderboard
Similar to the ‘King of the Dead’ event last season, players can rack up eliminations to climb up a leaderboard on the new zombies map “The Reckoning”. The higher on the board you are when the event ends, the better your reward will be.
New Content Coming in Warzone Season 5
New Contract – Satellite Hijack – Launch
With the Launch of Season 5, players will discover a brand new multi-step contract to complete, the Satellite Hijack Contract. This contract will help squads gain entry into the stadium in the most grandiose way possible. Devious operations are said to be taking place within the stadium, so it’s up to you & your squad to break in & discover what secrets lie inside. Please note, this contract will only be available for the first week of Season 5, so don’t miss out.
New LTM – Stadium Resurgence – In Season
This LTM will take place in week 2 of Season 5. After the stadium has been breached players will be able to engage in a seven circle collapse Resurgence LTM. Regular Resurgence rules apply, public events & loot drops are to be expected.
Updates to Warzone Solos
With the launch of Season 5, Core Solos & Casual Solos will be available across the globe for 48 hours. After 48 hours have passed, playlists will be updated for Core Solos. The Core Solos playlist will only be available in North America & Europe moving forward. Causual Solos on the other hand will continue to be globally available.
Warzone Battle Royale & Resurgence Ranked – Launch Window
Ranked Play returns in Season 5 of Warzone! There is a multitude of rewards you can earn by finishing the season in a certain division, winning games, or by earning eliminations. Here are each of the reward you can earn:

Potential BO7 Preorders During Season 5
We could potentially see preorders for BO7 announced during Season 5 of Black Ops 6. With Black Ops 7 being added to ‘All Games’ in COD HQ as well as ‘Coming Soon’ pages beginning to hit retailers, preorders could be right over the horizon. Preorder incentives have already begun to leak out, so we’ll likely get more information on preorders soon.
