Call of Duty 2024 from Treyarch, rumored to be titled Black Ops 6 is set to release later this October. Microsoft announced an Xbox Showcase event which is set to provide additional details about Treyarch’s new Black Ops game. Here’s everything we know about the Call of Duty 2024 reveal trailer and announcement event for Black Ops 6:
BLACK OPS 6 RELEASE DATE
According to rumors from Insider Gaming, the next Black Ops title from Treyarch is scheduled to release this October. Previous Call of Duty titles that released in October include Black Ops 4 (2018) and Modern Warfare (2019). Black Ops 4 got announced in March, followed by a global reveal in May of 2018. It’s possible Black Ops 6 follows a very similar marketing schedule.
BLACK OPS 6 BETA EARLY ACCESS
Strangely enough, Windows Central has reported that players can get several weeks of early access to the Zombies mode within Black Ops 6. This would mark the first time a Zombies beta has been offered to fans.
It’s unclear if Campaign early access will be offered as we saw with Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III, but a Multiplayer Beta will be released by the end of the summer.
REBIRTH ISLAND REVEAL EVENT
While a Warzone reveal event is likely to take place on Rebirth Island, such an experience has yet to be announced. Black Ops Cold War (2020) was revealed through a live event in Verdansk.
New intel suggests Perseus has been attempting to contact Konni, while several Easter Eggs have hinted at a “Black Ops” presence lurking in modern day Rebirth Island.
BLACK OPS 6 REVEAL ANNOUNCED
Just today, Microsoft confirmed an Xbox showcase event which takes place on Sunday, June 9th. Directly after the Xbox showcase finishes, there will be another event named “[REDACTED] Direct” begin, revealing new details about Black Ops 6 and potentially showing gameplay.
With the reveal image of the “[REDACTED] Direct” showcase being announced, we can see a few details potentially hinting at Treyarch’s next title name. The top seems to line up with the new Call of Duty logo, with the bottom looking to be “Black Ops V” or “Black Ops X”, with the numeral being in Orange like traditional Black Ops logos.
BLACK OPS 6 CONTENT RUMORS
Several leaks for Black Ops 6 have been posted by dataminers following the launch of Modern Warfare II (2022). Considering Treyarch’s next title is built on the IW9 (infinity Ward) engine, a plethora of information will likely be leaked ahead of launch in games like Modern Warfare III and even Warzone Mobile.
The campaign is rumored to focus on the Gulf and Iraq wars, while Multiplayer may be a hybrid between Cold War and Modern Warfare 3 (2023). Zombies is reportedly launching with two round based maps and is considered a return to form.
