New patch notes have been revealed for Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 5. I was invited to a Call of Duty creator call that detailed some exclusive highlights we’ll be seeing on August 7th. The Black Ops 6 Season 5 patch notes have confirmed new rewards, huge quality of life updates, Ricochet anti cheat changes and more. Here’s everything revealed with the Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 5 patch notes:
Multiplayer
- Runway [6v6]
- Track down runaway pantheon moles through the Arzak Provincial Airport. Use destroyed vehicles & scattered luggage as cover through the wreckage & destruction.
- Exchange [6v6, 2v2]
- Destroy the final remnants of the pantheon while battling through the Avalon Marketplace. Utilize any of the 3 lanes to your advantage & duck into markets for vantage points.
- W.M.D. [6v6]
- The fan favorite classic MP Map W.M.D. returns, this time as a car manufacturing facility! Try your luck sniping down the long range areas, or use building for cover, & see if you can remember the choke points of this map.
- Aim High [Mode]
- Keep your aim high & true as the only shots that really matter in this mode are headshots. Anything below the next will have significant damage drop-off, & will waste more ammunition.
- Snipers Only [Mode]
- Spawn in with only your sniper rifle & perks in this LTM. Test your skills against other snipers to see who reigns supreme!
- Cranked Moshpit [Playlist/Mode]
- All chaos breaks loose as players try chain kills & avoid being blown up as you’re on a short timer after gaining a kill. It’s all in the process of starting over upon death.
- PML 5.5 [LMG]
- Full auto LMG with a fast fire rate & major lethality. Downsides include hefty recoil & lower mobility. Great or ensuring you get the elimination, but risk elimination yourself from reload time.
- ABR A1 [Assault Rifle]
- Decent handling & power with each burst, the ABR A1 is a 3-round burst Assault Rifle. With the right attachment, you can covert it into the classic AUG from Black Ops 1! Bursts are rapid enough where it’s almost an auto in itself.
- Boxing Gloves [Melee]
- With fast attack speeds & longer range, the popular boxing gloves are sure to rock your opponents noggins!
- 9MM PM Skull Splitter [Attachment]
- Convert your favorite pistol into a weapon of precision & damage with the 9MM PM Skull Splitter Attachment. Major increase in damage & reduces the fire rate.
- PPSH-41 Helical Magazine [Attachment]
- SMG attachment that adds plenty of ammo to your disposal & increases your fire rate. You’ll just have to keep an eye out not to overheat the weapon.
- Fixed an issue where players wouldn’t spawn in the subsequent round after joining in-progress games.
- Fixed an issue where players couldn’t unpin competed camo challenges that they were tracking.
- Fixed an issue where players couldn’t prestige from the main prestige menu.
- Fixed an issue with the Shadow Perk while throwing Equipment while neat enemy shock charges.
- The Archangel can no longer navigate outside of the accessible areas.
Zombies
- New Round Based Map – Reckoning
- Janus Towers as a whole is on the verge of collapse as Aether Reactors fail. Uncover the secrets of Project Janus in the finale of BO6 Zombies!
- The Uber Klaus shows no mercy as it’s deployed to stops newly targeted threats. Even when the Uber Klaus is defeated, you’ll have to watch out for the Uber Klaus Core. The core gains agility & aerial advantage once it is released from its hefty armor.
- Kommando Klaus will descend on players once the red mist arrives. With higher ructions disabled, these enemies will seek to self destruct, so keep your distance.
- The New Gorgofex Wonder Weapon proves to be a force to be reckoned with. Destroy enemies with charged shots or single shots to deal significant damage. Try to discover the hidden variants as well.
- Mister Peeks can be deployed on your enemies, in the form of a new Field Upgrade. Upgrade & Activate him & he will take down enemies all around you & bring the party as he does!
- Fixed an Exploit where players could access a safe zone by using Aether Shroud on Liberty Falls.
- Zombies will now drop down near the dumpster near Pump & Pay in Liberty Falls.
- Fixed an issue where players would take damage standing on a coffin in Citadelle Des Morts.
- An issue where the crafting table showed you were able to craft 3 self revives in Grief. It now displays only 1.
- Dark Flare beams will no longer remain active while weapons are swapped during Weapon Carousel in Grief.
- Both weapons will now receive ammo after purchasing a wall buy of an akimbo build weapon.
- Players can no longer activate Jugger-Nogs Reactive armor augment by using PHD Flopper.
- Melee Macchiato’s Hidden Impact Augment will no longer refill certain support items.
- Trials will no longer progress when getting kills using Frenzied Guards Retribution augment.
- Fixed an issue where the Pack-A-Punch couldn’t be activated after picking up the Blood Aetherium Crystal while Dark Flare was Active.
- Players can no longer rapidly charge their field upgrades by leaving & rejoining a match during quest steps.
- AFK timers are no longer activated while using Support Items.a
Warzone
- Stadium POI Updates
- A Brand-New multi step contract [Satellite Hijack] is available during the first week of Season 5. Breach the stadium working with or against other squads.
- Stadium is now a more militarized variant inside, including multiple new structures of various heights, reinforced barricades, & plenty more loot to uncover.
- The stadium will remain open in week 2 of Season 5 & will be marked as a high loot zone.
- Stadium Resurgence [36 Players]
- The Stadium is the center stage for an absolute scene of chaos during this new mode. Standard resurgence rules, available during week 2 of Season 5.
- Multiple new perk additions to the loot pool.
- PML 5.56 LMG has been added to ground loot & supply crates.
- Buy Stations have been re-randomized across the entire map.
- Stadium Buy Station appears after breach of the Stadium Roof.
- Weapons adjusted for Default Loadouts.
- Players will no longer get stuck connecting in a queue after choosing ‘Play Again’ & going back to the main menu.
- Search & Destroy contracts will no longer target nonexistent Buy Stations.
- UAV Towers will now count towards challenges where players need to be under the effect of a UAV.
- Bounty Targets will now count towards Unique Camo Challenges, not just Most Wanted Targets.
- Feng Dark Matter & Diamond will know properly track multi-kills.
- Multiple Drop Rate Adjustments have been made.
QNA
- All perks will now be displayed while spectating and within killcams in Warzone.
- All Black Ops 6 snipers are receiving a buff in Warzone so that the HDR isn’t the only viable choice.
- Scorestreaks will be restricted in Snipers Only in Multiplayer.
- Beenox worked on Runway and Casino Multiplayer maps this season.
- Weapon camo rewards are being focussed on this season.
- Completion rate for Vault Easter Egg was low, has now been made more accessible.
- Limited time weapon case will be live in Verdansk for a week.
- Original keycard Easter Egg from Stadium is returning with the Enigma blueprint.
- The open Stadium is more dynamic than ever, featuring a surprise quest.
- Rewards for completing main quests while playing team cranked during mid season.
- Reckoning compared to Die Rise as far as verticality.
- DLC 4 will feature tons of rich side easter eggs, comparative to Citadelle Des Morts.
- At least one side quest that’s similar to the unique golden armor from The Tomb.
- Grief bug fixes for players joining in progress.
- No more getting the same weapon twice in a row from the Mystery Box.
- When asked about a Super Easter Egg, Kevin Drew teased how excited he was for us to finish the Reckoning first.
