Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 1 Reloaded has been out for a good while now. With the release of the latest blog post however, it’s been confirmed that the world famous & pizza-loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles could be coming to Black Ops 6! You best believe they’re going to bring their martial arts & color coated bandanas to the fight. We’re covering all the content we’ll be seeing. Grab yourself a slice of pizza, & let’s slide on down into the sewer:
Official Black Ops 6 x TMNT Crossover Teaser
On February 13th, Call of Duty posted ‘COD-A-BUNGA’ with an small teaser trailer showing the 4 Turtles sticking their heads out of an Sewer Manhole Cover. This confirms Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael coming as Operator Skins!
Release Date
The newly released Season 2 Reloaded blog for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 & Warzone has confirmed a TMNT crossover. That being said, the turtles, as well as their respective cosmetics, bundles, modes, etc. will be coming throughout Season 2 Reloaded, starting on February 20th.
New Melee Weapons
With the latest blog for Season 2 Reloaded, it was revealed that new melee weapons are to be released during the Reloaded Update. These weapons include the Bo Staff, Sais, The & Nunchaku, along with a Skateboard are all weapons coming to BO6. The main four Turtle’s weapons will be available on launch, with the Skateboard following when the TMNT themed event starts.
Those weapons sound familiar? They’re the weapons of the iconic four Ninja Turtles. Given the Turtles were popular in the 90s, this is an excellent crossover for Call of Duty. These weapons (with the exception of the Bo Staff) have appeared in previous Call of Duty entries.
Grind Ooze (MP)
The Fan favorite map “Grind” receives a TMNT themed makeover with the Season 2 Reloaded Update. Now known as “Grind Ooze”, players get to experience the map now decorated with TMNT posters, decor, & various forms of artwork across the board.
Operators
As for the Operators or Skins, we’ll be seeing the Ninja Turtles release in their own separate dedicated bundles. Each bundle will come with one of the Legendary Ninja Turtles, their respective weapon, tracers, blueprints, finishing move, & other TMNT themed cosmetics. There will be entries on the Detonated Stockpile page that displays everything available in these bundles. Be sure to check back Here!
There will be bundles for Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, & Donatello.
Their almighty & wise sensei, Master Shredder will also be available as a NEW operator! Attainable as the final reward through the Premium (Paid) Track of the TMNT Event Pass. With the Event Pass, you can earn yourself 2 new Operator skins for the “Foot Clan”, longtime rival of the Ninja Turtles. You can earn the base skin, as well as the “Undead Foot Clan” skin.
It’s fun to remember a Ninja Turtles crossover has happened before with the Shredder Bundle released back during MW2. With the Ninja Turtles now coming to Call of Duty, they’ll be able to combat Shredder in Warzone. *Note: Shredder is still only available for use in Warzone, & not in Black Ops 6.
NEW LTM – TMNT Moshpit
If you’re heading into the TMNT Moshpit, get ready for a wild ride, as the mode will allow Ninja like abilities to be used against your foes. This is similar to what Call of Duty did when it crossed over with “The Boys”, giving players a superpower themed mode. This time around, you can earn TMNT themed Scorestreaks, earned with score like normal streaks. If you work as a unit however, objective plays will reward even more score.
Upon using your TMNT Scorestreak, you’ll gain access to these abilities:
- Increased Health Regeneration
- Finishing Moves can be executed from any & all directions.
- Increased Movement Speed
- Resilience to slowing down upon being shot by an enemy.
- Amplified Melee Range
- Double Jumping
- Air Dashing
- An alert when an enemy is beyond your view.
Character Specific Abilities will be assigned at the beginning of a match & available after activating your TMNT Scorestreak. Here are the abilities & the specific characters they belong to:
- With Leonardo, you’ll gain access to four stealth based perks (Tracker, Vigilance, Ghost, & Cold-Blooded) to sneak your way around the map.
- With Michelangelo, you can drop a Pizza Box. What does this box do? When your teammate(s) eat a slice of pizza from the box, they will deal DOUBLE damage for a short burst. It also acts as an ammo/equipment replenisher.
- With Raphael, you gain UNLIMITED Shuriken. This is set to be wild for some players.
- With Donatello, you gain what is essentially an upgraded version of the “Engineer” perk. It allows you to see equipment through walls, as well as enemies, scorestreaks, & field upgrades. Need to turn the tide? You’ll be able to hack those enemy field upgrades & equipment.
- With Master Splinter, you can disappear into a cloud of smoke & reappear in a safe location, behind the enemies’ vision. A lot closer to them than they’d like, I’m sure.
Zombies LTM – Cowabunga Cranked
The popular mode “Cranked” returns, but with a twist. As you get higher in the rounds, the timer between kills will become smaller & smaller, meaning you have to bring the fight to them to stay alive. Luckily, this iteration of the mode comes with some helpful power-ups to help minimize the chance that you’re obliterated. Let’s take a look at these helpful tools:
- The Pizza Box
- This will refill the Cranked Timer back to its’ maximum.
- Turtle Power!
- Most certainly an aid as it provides the player who grabbed it temporary Max Pack-A-Punch & Legendary Melee Weapons. It also provides a temporary health bonus for the player.
- Slice-O-Pie
- While the Pizza Box provides a maximum refill on the Cranked timer, it only makes sense a slice of the pizza only adds a partial refill for the Cranked timer.
To add to these power-ups, all players in the mode will be granted access to Donny’s Time Stopper! A NEW & exclusive Field Upgrade that will pause the Cranked Timer for a FULL Minute. An entire 60 Seconds to recuperate after the battle.
If you choose to head into the mode as one of the Ninja Turtles, you’ll gain an advantage against the horde. The Turtles shells repel damage by 50% when attacked from behind. Splinter has his own special assist as he has a higher chance of the Slice-O-Pie drops spawning in from slain enemies.
If that wasn’t enough, here’s one more drop. Cowabunga Cranked will have each maps Main Quest ENABLED. If you’re skilled enough to complete a maps Main Quest while in Cowabunga Cranked, you’ll earn yourself a TMNT version of the Main Quest Completion Calling Card for that map. Limited time however as once the mode leaves on March 13th, so does your chance at earning these Exclusive Calling Cards, so act fast.
Battle Pass & Events
They’ve decided to center an Event Pass around the Ninja Turtles, similar to how did with the Squid Game Event Pass. Available to unlock through this Pass are Operators/Skins, Blueprints, Finishing Moves, New Weapons, Attachments, & other TMNT themed cosmetics.
