With the Xbox Showcase today, Activision has officially revealed the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will release later this year for fans of the franchise to sink their teeth into. With more information coming later this Summer, we’re going to get into everything revealed today for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Here’s everything you need to know:
THE STORY HEADED INTO BLACK OPS 7
Finishing out the Xbox Games Showcase we were treated to our first glimpse at this year’s Call of Duty title via a three minute teaser trailer towards the end of the showcase.
From what’s been revealed, the campaign will take place more than 40 years after the events of Black Ops 6. The story & of Black Ops 7 will be occurring in the year 2035. The world is facing chaos, anarchy, & on the brink of calamity following the events of both Black Ops 2 & Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty fans finally will have a follow up to David Masons story following the death of Raul Menendez & the commencement of Cordis Die revolutions & rebellions. David Mason & his team are set to fight against an enemy who can weaponize fear & manipulation. Using cutting edge tech, David & his crew must battle to undo the damage Menendez has done.
During the teaser we’re re-introduced to Raul Menendez, the main villain of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 from 2012. To what capacity he’ll play we can’t be sure, as according to Treyarch’s previous titles, and video timelines, the iconic villain is supposedly dead following the events of Black Ops 2’s ending where David Mason shoots Menendez in the head.
BLACK OPS 7 MULTIPLAYER DETAILS
The signature Black Ops multiplayer experience in Black Ops 7 is set to be jam packed with new maps, & near-futuristic weaponry. Active Camo has been seen in the trailer, so expect to possibly see Specialists return! Fan favorite maps will likely return as well!
FIRST LOOK AT CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 7 ZOMBIES
We get our first official look at Zombies in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 teaser. From what can be seen, there are vehicle headlights in the background behind all the undead.
POTENTIAL FIRST LOOK AT AVALON IN BLACK OPS 7
There’s a scene within the reveal trailer of 4 individuals skydiving into what looks to be the what we believed was scrapped Avalon Warzone map. With this reveal, could we see Avalon officially launch in the BO7 integration of Warzone?
MORE BLACK OPS 7 TEASERS & CLUES COMING SOON
With the full reveal of Black Ops 7 coming later this Summer, Activision Marketing Publisher, Tyler Bahl , has stated the community should keep their eyes open. We’ll be seeing surprises, clues, & teasers leading up to the full official reveal of BO7.
