Season 4 has added a NEW Diamond Drill Safe Easter Egg to Koschei Complex in DMZ. Here’s everything you need to know:
HOW TO GET INTO THE ALPHA CLUSTER:
Before you enter Koschei Complex, we recommend that you or a fellow operator bring in a set of Jumper Cables and a Car Battery since you’ll need one pair to leave your spawn vault and another to enter the Alpha Cluster vault. If you can’t find any, try and leave your spawn vault as fast as possible, and then open an opposite vault and steal the Jumper Cables and Car Battery from there before any enemy squads notice.
After you get the extra pair of Jumper Cables and Car Battery and leave your spawn vault, you will need to go to the middle of the Chemical Plant in the lit-up building and grab the R4D Detector. You’ll need this when in the Alpha Cluster vault!
After you have the R4D Detector, you need to find the Admin Room Key somewhere around the Chemical Plant. You’ll need this later!
Once you have all prior items, you need to make your way to the wall labeled “C/1” in Chemical Plant.
Along the wall of the “C/1” door to the “C/2” door will be a panel box similar to those that allowed you to enter the Chemical Plant from your spawn vault. You will need to place the Jumper Cables and Car Bettery in that panel box to enable the power to the “C/1” door, and to be let in!
R4D SCANS:
Go to the back of the Alpha Cluster room and find the keypad. After you’ve found the keypad, use the R4D Scanner to scan the symbols above the keypad.
You now have to find blackboards around Alpha Cluster and scan them with the R4D Scanner to find the symbols on them, and then find out what number they correlate to on that blackboard. Typically, the symbol will be circled and then pointing to the number they will correlate to on the keypad.
After you’ve found your symbols and know what number they correlate to, you then want to enter the numbers onto the keypad, and go into the room. On a table will be a Diamond Bit Drill that you need to pick up!
CRACK OPEN THE SAFE:
After you obtain the Diamond Bit Drill, you need to leave Alpha Cluster and make your way to the Admin Room. There, you will need to kill the two bosses the Rhino and the Sniper. We recommend heavy hitting weapons with lots of ammo, as well as Munitions Boxes, Armor Boxes, and Anti-Armor Rounds!
Once you’ve killed the bosses, go to the door where the Weapon Case will be, and outside of that door to the right will be the safe you will need to now open using that Diamond Bit Drill. Just interact with it and it should start drilling the safe!
Once the safe is open, you will be greeted with some hefty rewards such as: 3-Plate Medic Vest, 3-Plate Comms Vest, and a 3-Plate Stealth Vest! Perfect for those who need to regain hard-to-find loot that was lost in a previous deployment.
