Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is rumored to release on Wednesday, December 6th. MW3 Zombies Season 01 will feature new content, easter eggs and unlockables. Season One for MW3 Zombies will release alongside the content updates for Multiplayer and Warzone. Here’s everything we know about MWIII Season 01 Zombies:
MW3 ZOMBIES SEASON 1 START TIMES & DOWNLOAD
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 will launch on December 6th for ALL platforms! Expect all zombies content to become playable at 9am PT, 11am CT, and 12pm EST.
THE V-R11 WONDER WEAPON RETURNS
The unique Wonder Weapon from Black Ops 1’s Call of the Dead returns with a new design! You will be able to obtain a acquisition for this weapon as well as find it in the Mystery Box.
The V-R11 will be able to turn Enemy Zombies into Human Allies when shot, and will turn Enemy Humans into Friendly Zombies!
NEW AQUISITIONS, SCHEMATICS AND MORE
MWZ will get new acquisitions and schematics to find!
The new schematics and their purposes are:
- DOG BONE (Legendary) – Summons a strong friendly Hellhound companion. Will follow you and your teammates until it’s health is depleted.
- GOLDEN ARMOR PLATE (Legendary) – Replaces Armor Carrier Plates with Plates that automatically repair themselves. Will also give additional damage resistances.
- AETHER BLADE (Lethal) – Special Throwing Knife with infinite ammo and a boomerang-like effect (after hitting an enemy with it, the knife will target the nearest enemy and then return to the operator).
There’s also a new boss you can find. Dokkaebi from the new Season 1 Battle Pass will be located in the Exclusion Zone with a fleet of electronic drones at her disposal. Dokkaebi will arrive during the mid-season update!
NEW ACT MISSIONS & STORYLINE
There will be a new Act to complete at the launch of Season 1! This time, you will need to travel to the Dark Aether itself to complete the story…
The new story plot is as follows:
“As Operators continue to push farther into the Exclusion Zone, a new anomaly appears. Sent to investigate, Operation Deadbolt Strike Teams are pulled through to the other side in their first major encounter inside the Dark Aether.”

GOING INTO THE DARK AETHER
The Dark Aether Zone from Black Ops Cold War returns in a new way with Season 1 of MWZ…
The Dark Aether will be accessible at all times through a Dark Aether Rift found on the map. When you enter the Dark Aether, you will be brought to a new area separate from Urzikstan: Al Bagra Fortress from Al Mazrah.
It’s good to know that this is a redesign of Al Bagra Fortress with a new Skybox, Dark Aether Crystals, and more! It’s also stated to be a difficult zone to be inside of, so prepare yourself accordingly before entering.
NEW DLC WEAPONS & MYSTERY BOX UPDATE
With the start of the new season will come new “DLC” weapons! This also means they will be added to the Mystery Box! Some of these weapons will be at launch, but some will come later in the season/ There will also be a new Wonder Weapon in the box!
