Modern Warfare 3 Zombies was fully revealed at COD NEXT, a separate briefing for content creators and a private event at Treyarch headquarters last week. Each of the three events provided different amounts of MW3 Zombies information that isn’t known by the general public. MWIII Zombies is reportedly receiving bonus maps, separate from Urzikstan, an extended timer past the 60 minute limit and a variety of mastery challenges.
Multiple Reveal Events For MWIII Zombies
Treyarch provided an extensive amount of information for MW3 Zombies during the COD NEXT broadcast, accompanied by the gameplay trailer and a blogpost. Additional details about the next iteration of Zombies were also shared in a private event at Treyarch studios early last week, where select content creators got invited to get hands on with the mode. Various content creators have begun to share some secrets they learned while playing in Los Angeles.
Apart from those details, I was able to attend a pre briefing the day before COD NEXT where even more gameplay details were shared about MWIII Zombies. Since the launch of the MW3 Multiplayer beta, various leaks have also surfaced online, all of which are recapped below.
All Leaked MW3 Zombies Perks
Do keep in mind that the early details for MW3 zombies are subject to change, and may not reflect the launch content on November 10th. Take this information with a grain of salt, but the list of rumored perks includes:

All Leaked MW3 Zombies Power-Ups
Call of Duty Zombies is known for it’s power ups, and just about every power up has returned in each iteration of the mode. Fans have questioned the difference between a carpenter and full armor power up, if both are to be featured in MW3 Zombies, which the leaks currently suggest. The list of returning power ups include:
- Max Ammo
- Nuke
- Insta Kill
- Double Points
- Fire Sale

Just like in the last two iterations of Call of Duty Zombies, various characters will speak to you throughout the duration of your match, and while completing certain tasks. The characters include:

All Leaked MW3 Zombie Achievements
While the descriptions for each trophy have yet to be revealed, the names of all MW3 Zombie trophies have reportedly surfaced on Twitter. The list of achievements currently includes:

- Back From The Dead
- Reclaim your gear from a Tombstone in MWZ
- Conqueror
- Defeat a Warlord in MWZ

- On Urzikstan, Kill 100 Zombies with vehicle in a single deployment in MWZ

Bonus Maps & Round Based Teasers
During the private gameplay session at Treyarch, creators were told that the studio is keeping round based players in mind, and will be doing what they can to please them with MW3 Zombies. It was confirmed that in some of the story driven missions for the mode, players will be taken to other maps that do not take place in Urzikstan. These sub maps could be what Treyarch is referring to when they claim that Round Based players will be pleased with Modern Warfare 3.
It’s entirely possible that as a reward for completing all faction missions, or an Easter egg quest, players can unlock those sub maps as survival or onslaught experiences to fill the void for round based until Black Ops 2024. Coincidentally, World War 2 (2017) featured a basic survival map in the form of Groesten Haus as a reward for completing the main quest on The Final Reich. Players also unlocked three small round based maps for completing the main quest on the Tortured path, which featured those sub maps combined into an objective driven experience.
The End Game Contract & Timer Extension
The zombies community has expressed disappointment in the 60 minute timer that is present in each match of MW3 Zombies. As it currently stands, the aether storm will begin to collapse after a 45 minute timer expires, while players then have up to 15 more minutes to exfil before it’s too late. During the private play session at Treyarch, creators learned that a secret end game contract exists, which may be useful for completing some of the mode’s harder faction missions, or even the easter egg quests that are coming post launch. This proposed end game contract will reportedly allow players to extend their match timers by another hour, but precise details on the end game contract are still unknown.
Early MWZ Mastery Camo Preview
New rumors suggest that Modern Warfare 3 will receive 12 different mastery camos across three different categories. It’s unclear which camo is tied to each mode, but the list is interesting nonetheless. The list of mastery camos and challenges currently includes but is not limited to:

- Four Mastery Camos For MW2 Weapons in MW3 Multiplayer (Same as 2022)
