Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 is here and with it comes a brand new event! Modern Warfare III’s Season 2 is already bringing an event in celebration of the Chinese New Year which is the Year of the Dragon! Today, we’ll tell you the rewards for MWIII’s newest event including the best way to earn them! Ready to see MW3’s newest event? Here’s what you need to know:
XP Based Challenge Event
Similar to recent in game XP events, players may grind through ten different milestones, each of with rewards a cosmetic unlock, by playing any mode of their choosing. Year of the Dragon will be active from February 7th to February 14th.
The final reward for Year of the Dragon is the Dragon Scales universal camo:

- Double XP Token – 1 Hour (23,600 XP)
- Lantern Nights – Large Decal (42,100 XP)

Operator Skin XP Boost
For players that purchase the Full Kit: Dragon: Lunar New Year bundle, a 2500XP boost will be applied to every match that is played while running the Emperor operator skin.
The bundle features several blueprints with year of the dragon tracers, themed skins for the killstreaks and field upgrades, and other lunar new year cosmetics.
Best XP Farming Strategy
The fastest way to grind through milestones in the MW3 Year of the Dragon event is to pop a double XP token, and or complete as many challenges as you can. These challenges can range from camo ones, completionist objectives or even weekly sets.
Playing LONG matches of objective multiplayer modes, Warzone or even full games of Zombies can also help burn through several tiers of the event in just a short amount of time.
