Modern Warfare 3 is known to have constant events since it’s launch. With MWIII having tons of events, it can be hard to keep track of, so here at DETONATED we decided to make a log of each XP event that released during Modern Warfare III’s lifecycle and beyond! Formatted with dates, features, and end times, this article will be perfect for those wanting to stay up to date with the XP grind in MW3! Here’s what you need to know:
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – JANUARY 18th
Players were given an extra Event to play alongside The Boys: Supe Takedown event that released with Season 1 Reloaded. This one has no challenges, and instead offered Double XP for Player XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass XP throughout every gamemode in Modern Warfare 3!
Players will also receive THREE FREE TOKENS, (PLAYER XP, WEAPON XP, AND BATTLE PASS XP), if they login to Modern Warfare 3 or Warzone before Sunday, January 21st! This XP Event ends on January 24th at 10am PT!
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – FEBRUARY 24TH
Amidst the server issues for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, a Double XP event was announced for the weekend of February 23rd until February 27th. Call of Duty extended the event for an additional day, to make up for lost time. This new XP event can be found alongside the Cryptid Bootcamp and Horde Hunt events which will round out the first half of Season 2.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – MARCH 8TH
With the launch of Season 2 Reloaded, Call of Duty announced a Triple XP event for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. From March 8th to March 11th at 11am PT, players can enjoy faster progression for their player, weapon and battlepass level.
This new triple XP event can help players grind through the new Dune: Rule of Fate event, which challenges folks to hit certain XP milestones.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – APRIL 3RD
Kicking off the third season of Modern Warfare 3, a triple XP event began which provides a boost for player, weapon and battlepass XP across the board. This was an unannounced XP event, which will likely last until the start of the weekend, or Monday the 8th at the latest.
Not many XP events have happened since the beginning of March, but it’s likely this new one is meant to coincide with the beginning of the Season 3 Free Trial.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – APRIL 18th
Shortly before the release of Season 3 Reloaded, a double XP event is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 18th first on Playstation. The XP event will then commence on all other platforms on Friday, April 19th, lasting until Monday the 22nd.
There haven’t been too many XP events as of late, but more are expected as we near the summer of Modern Warfare 3’s lifecycle.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – MAY 10TH
Following the release of Season 3 Reloaded, a Double XP event was announced for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The XP event will provide players a boost to player, weapon and battlepass progress from May 10th until May 13th.
This XP event begins just shortly after the COD Endowment UAV challenge event, and will likely be the final Double XP offering before the end of Season 3. Surprisingly, there have been around four different 2XP weekends over the last month.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – MAY 23RD
Amidst all the new marketing for Black Ops 6 and MW3 Season 4, an EXTENDED triple XP event got announced, lasting until June 3rd. Players have plenty of time to reach max rank and complete their battle pass.
With this XP event continuing past the launch of Season 4 and WITH a free trial event, it’s unlikely we’ll get another XP event until Season 4 Reloaded in late June.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – JUNE 27TH
To coincide with the launch of Season 4 Reloaded, Sledgehammer has activated a TRIPLE XP event for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Fans can take advantage of this in case they’re behind on their level or weapon progression for the season.
There is likely to be another XP event of sorts for the fourth of July.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – JULY 5TH
As expected and to celebrate independence day, Call of Duty is getting an XP event that’ll last until July 8th for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The boost won’t last long but should help fans level up even faster before the start of Season 5.
DOUBLE XP WEEKEND EVENT – JULY 18TH
As a sendoff for the fourth season and just after the full reveal of Season 5, a triple XP event should be starting for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone to close out the week.
This is everyone’s last chance to hit their milestones before the new content drop on July 24th!
