Call of Duty is set to collaborate once again with “The Boys” during the Modern Warfare 3 life cycle. As opposed to last year, MW3 is confirmed to receive the Supe’d up LTM in Multiplayer and a series of challenges for players to earn free rewards. Here’s everything we know about a new “The Boys” collaboration with Modern Warfare III.
All New “The Boys” Operator Bundles
Last year, Modern Warfare 2 added in the likes of Homelander, Starlight and Black Noir via three separate operator bundles. This year in Modern Warfare 3, only two operators are being added, including A-Train and a new character from Season 4 of the series, Firecracker. Both bundles are likely to cost 2400 COD Points. Homelander, Black Noir and Starlight (Re Release)
The blogpost for MW3 Season 1 implies that the MW2 bundles that released for the first “The Boys” collaboration are set to return to the MW3 bundle shop. Although players can already carry forward the three MW2 operator skins, there isn’t a way to purchase either of those bundles if they missed the window last year. I suppose this will now label Homelander, Black Noir and Starlight as MW3 operators.
MW3 “Sup’ed Up” Limited Time Mode
It appears that “The Boys” themed LTM isn’t for Warzone as it was last year, but for MW3 Multiplayer in the form of “Supe’d Up”. While not many details have been confirmed for the upcoming limited time mode, official and leaked details do suggest that “Temp V” syringes will be lootable field upgrades which offer the same abilities as what we saw in Warzone last year:
- Charge Jump – Operators don’t suffer any fall damage when they land from a Charge Jump deal splash damage to anyone or anything within a short radius of the landing spot.
- Electric Shockwave – This shockwave sends a powerful electrical explosion that injures Operators and AI Combatants, as well as destroys vehicles and equipment.
- Laser Vision – Operator levitates and fires a laser beam that sears through enemy targets in whatever direction they are looking.
- Teleport – Teleport warps an Operator upward, which is extremely helpful when trying to escape a fight or move to higher ground
THE BOYS VS THE SEVEN CHALLENGE EVENT
During MW2 Season 4 Reloaded, the Diabolical challenge event allowed players to earn two Vought themed weapon camos. MW3 is reportedly doing things a little bit different with the challenge event, as there will be sides to choose from, similar to Faction Showdown from MWII Season 5.
It’s unclear if the winning side is determined by community milestones, or if the two sides just offer additional challenges for players to complete. While the rewards haven’t been revealed yet, the list of challenges for both sides have.

Reportedly, the new event will contain challenges in Multiplayer, Zombies AND Warzone. As of now, only the challenges for multiplayer have been posted, but stay tuned for further updates on Warzone and Zombies. It also appears that there will be a “The Boys” inspired mode in Multiplayer, which is a step up from there only being one for Warzone last year.
THE BOYS MASTERY MASTERY REWARD
Upon completing all six event challenges for either side, a mastery reward will be unlocked. It’s currently unclear if the mastery reward is a universal camo, or another cosmetic. It’s likely that players will be able to achieve mastery for both sides if they please, allowing them to unlock more free rewards.

MW3 THE BOYS EVENT RELEASE DATE
The initial MW3 Season 1 blogpost confirms that “The Boys” collaboration begins during the launch of Season 1 Reloaded, which is slated for January 17th. It’s unclear if both bundles and the Supe’d Up LTM are all launching on the same day, or if they’ll spread out these drops during the launch window of the mid season update.
