Today, we have information on Fortune’s Keep’s release date and more! Ready to see what’s next for Modern Warfare 3? Here’s what you need to know:

FORTUNE’S KEEP RELEASE DATE
It’s been known since MW3’s Call of Duty Next Event that both Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep will be making a return to the current iteration of Warzone in 2024. This will make the total of confirmed Resurgence Maps to a total of four in the game at once (not counting the small sections of Urzikstan that float around the resurgence playlist every-so-often).

Fortune’s Keep will return early next year and Rebirth Island will follow later in 2024, making it our most diverse map rotation in Call of Duty: #Warzone pic.twitter.com/AkL7J07Twi
Recently, due to the release of Season 1 Reloaded of MW3, Fortune’s Keep now has references in the files. Thanks to the usual leakers on X/Twitter, it’s going around that we could see Fortune’s Keep as early as the launch of Season 2. Since this info isn’t confirmed, it’s good to take this with a grain of salt.

Call of Duty have stated that Fortune’s Keep will release before Rebirth Island. Fortune’s Keep’s release date is vaguely stated as “Early 2024” with Rebirth following behind “Mid 2024”. This means, as stated before, that Fortune’s Keep could come in Season 2, or even Season 3. The release schedule for these maps could follow the same schedule as Ashika Island and Vondel from MW2’s lifecycle: Season 2 – Fortune’s Keep & Season 4 – Rebirth Island.
SECRET CARE PACKAGE TEASERS
Just earlier today, various content creators received care packages teasing the return of Fortune’s Keep in Season 2. Little statues of updated points of interest depict an earthquake has gone through the original map as we know it, changing some of the landscape.

A new area, currently leaked out and referenced as “Retractable bridge” was also previewed in one the statues given to content creator @Kestico_. It’ll be fascinating to see how underwater mechanics now work in the new iteration of Fortune’s Keep.

NEW EASTER EGG QUESTS
Unlike every other Warzone map, Fortune’s Keep originally released with several Easter Eggs, all of which may be returning in Season 2, in addition to newer quests. The original Fortune’s Keep Easter Eggs included:
- Multiple Secret Rooms
- Graveyard Zombie Boss
- Magic Fountain
- Treasure You Can Dig
SPECIALIST PERK PACKAGE TEASE
It’s important to remember the Specialist Perk Package teaser that Raven Software posted a little while ago. In this image, you see the Specialist Perk Package resting on top of a Rebirth Island landmark. The usual suspects believe this addition will return in Season 3. Does this mean Rebirth will also return with this addition? It’s likely, but don’t hold your breath.
So anyway, what are some of the features we're preparing for well ahead of time – you ask? 👀 pic.twitter.com/WhFYyCUE6P

Enable for each map re-release to gain traction evenly, Fortune’s Keep will NEED to release before Rebirth to ensure players populate the map. If Fortune’s Keep releases in Season 2, leaving Season 3 to put Rebirth in the spotlight, this could spread the player base to get a liking to Fortune’s Keep that’s more keen than before when the map released.
THE END… FOR NOW
That’s all we have on Fortune’s Keep’s return for now. As soon as more information is found, we will post any news immediately. Checkout this video for ADDITIONAL details on the Season 2 Warzone map:
