MW4 & Warzone Season 1 begins on November 6th at 9am PT, 11am CT, 12pm EST. Call of Duty confirmed Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins early November for Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ. Season 1 for Warzone and MW4 will be the first major content update featuring the Warzone Integration, NEW Battle Pass, Maps, Weapons, Events, and MORE. MW4 Season 1 Start Times and Download
According to the current battlepass timer and recent marketing, MW4 Season 1 is confirmed to start on November 6th at 9am PT, 11am CT, 12pm EST. This would also mark the first time a new season has begun on a Friday. Considering the upcoming release of GTA 6, it appears Season 1 has been pulled forward by two weeks, as new seasons are typically a month after launch.
Full roadmap marketing is typically around a week before content is meant to drop, so expect an official reveal no later than October 30th.
Season 1 Multiplayer Content
Leaked gameplay has already surfaced for a reimagining of Shoot House, a map that already exists within Kill Block.
It’s entirely possible that other remasters spaces such as Highrise or Kill House also make their way into 6v6 Mulitplayer later down the line. Recent marketing also suggests respawn mode support for Killblock is also on the way.
Before the launch of MW4, Infinity Ward confirmed two fan favorite maps would be arriving shortly after launch, while shipment was already planned as a pre season update. Shoothouse is likely to be that second map that should arrive before the end of this year.
Season 1 DMZ Content
Infinity Ward recently announced that their next DMZ experience ‘X01’ is scheduled to launch with Season 1. The map has been compared to Building 21 from MW2’s DMZ, which offered a claustrophobic layout and focus on PVP.
Players are also expecting additional story missions, cosmetic rewards and new recipes to be added, similar to the live service model of the first DMZ.
Season 1 Warzone Content
For the first time since the dawn of Warzone, the season 1 update is dropping with not one but TWO maps as apart of the MW4 integration:
Hajin will become the new battle royale map, with Verdansk continuing to receive support. It appears Avalon will be vaulted along with Black Ops Royale.
Zodiac is also set to launch alongside Hajin, which was playable in the beta back in August. It will co exist with Rebirth Island. It’s unclear whether Fortune’s Keep or Haven’s Hollow will be preserved in any way.
Season 1 Battlepass and Weapons
The MW4 Vault Edition does contain 1x Blackcell Battlepass which can be claimed with Season 1. While details on the pass are scarce, it’s likely that we’ll see an overhaul to how the battlepass works.
Recent behind the scenes promo for MW4 also revealed a familiar weapon that hasn’t been in an Infinity Ward game since 2011. The FMG-9 may be one of the battlepass weapons for Season 1, and hasn’t been seen since Modern Warfare 3 (2011).
