The Call of Duty franchise has had its ups & down with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. The newest installment of the series being worked on by Infinity Ward (Modern Warfare 4) has had some new leaks surface regarding the Campaign, as well as characters you’ll potentially be playing as. New Title for Modern Warfare 4
With the story being so heavily featured in the Koreas, it’s been reported by TheGhostOfHope that the new Modern Warfare title will be featuring a Korean 4 in the title. Infinity Ward seems to be trying something new with the title of “Modern Warfare 사”. All is subject to change of course.
It’s believed that we’ll still hear the game pronounced as Modern Warfare 4, & that the MW4 hashtag will be used for marketing posts, & media posts. The Korean 4 could be used on the cover art & for marketing too however.
New Campaign Details for Modern Warfare 4
According to leaker TheGhostOfHope over on Twitter, it has been reported that MW4 (being developed by Infinity Ward) will feature both North Korea & South Korea in significant major roles during the Campaign. With mounting pressures between the two, Makarov could use this to his advantage to start even greater conflicts.
The story is set to follow up on the events of Shepherd being killed by Price, & after Soap was killed by Makarov. The major threat of Makarov & his team starting a 3rd World War is very real, & it’s believed they’re doing false flag operations to kickstart it.
As it stands, TheGhostOfHope also believes plot points from MW (2019) or MW2 (2022) hold no significance in MW4.
The Players on the Field
Who will you be playing as? According to new information, we’ll reportedly be playing as 3 different factions during the campaign. You’ll be switching between the SAS, Task Force 141, & the Republic of Korea Army. All with the common goal, defeat Makarov & Konni.
We may seem some other returning faces make surprise appearances, as well as maybe some new faces to aid in the fight. There’s also the risk we see some new faces rise to aid Makarov & his crew of Konni.
Weapons & Tech
Hope has reported that the game is planned to feature some futuristic weapons & tech. With this in mind, it’s believed that the game will likely stay mostly modern. Maybe we see some experimental weapons being used during the conflicts of Makarov & TF 141, alongside the classic weapons we have today.
