Call of Duty is set to collaborate once again with “The Boys” during the Modern Warfare 3 life cycle. Last year, MW2 did a crossover with the Amazon Prime series which featured three operator bundles and a “The Boys” inspired LTM in Warzone. Here’s everything we know about the new “The Boys” collaboration with Modern Warfare III.

The Boys Crossover in Call of Duty
Modern Warfare 2 collaborated with the Amazon prime series “The Boys”. The crossover brought forth operator bundles for Homelander, Starlight and Black Noir. Together with superhero inspired map updates in Warzone, a resurgence LTM called “Temp-V” was also released during Season Four. Just a few months ago, a spinoff series called “Gen V” released just ahead of the announcement for the fourth upcoming season of the Boys.

Just today, twitter leakers revealed that another crossover with “The Boys” is set to release in Modern Warfare 3, marking the second time Call of Duty has collaborated with a brand twice, with the first being Snoop Dogg. It’s likely that the crossover with “The Boys” was amongst one of the most if not the most successful collaboration of MW2.
The Boys vs The Seven Challenge Event
Last year, MW2 Season 4 Reloaded featured the Diabolical camo challenges, allowing players to earn two Vought themed weapon camos. MW3 is reportedly doing things a little bit different with the challenge event, as there will be sides to choose from, similar to Faction Showdown from MWII Season 5. While the rewards haven’t been revealed yet, the list of challenges for both sides have.

Reportedly, the new event will contain challenges in Multiplayer, Zombies AND Warzone. As of now, only the challenges for multiplayer have been posted, but stay tuned for further updates on Warzone and Zombies. It also appears that there will be a “The Boys” inspired mode in Multiplayer, which is a step up from there only being one for Warzone last year.
The Seven Challenge List

The Boys Mastery Mastery Reward
Upon completing all six event challenges for either side, a mastery reward will be unlocked. It’s currently unclear if the mastery reward is a universal camo, or another cosmetic. It’s likely that players will be able to achieve mastery for both sides if they please, allowing them to unlock more free rewards.

MW3 The Boys Operator Bundles
Fans expressed alot of interest in the MW2 Season 6 battlepass, which was fully themed around the Spawn TV series. A battlepass themed around The Boys is certainly a possibility after the success of the Haunting, but it’s possible we get three more operator bundles based on characters from the show. Possible character we could see include the following:
- Billy Butcher
- A Train
- Queen Maeve
- Soldier Boy
- The Deep
- Hughie

MW3 The Boys Event Release Date
Considering how much information has surfaced about an upcoming “The Boys” collaboration for MW3, it’s likely that the event is scheduled for Season 1 or Season 2 by the latest, unless Sledgehammer is THAT far ahead with planning some upcoming crossovers.

As of now, a Makarov camo challenge and a Christmas themed event have been teased for Season 1, which may suggest another collaboration with The Boys isn’t until next year. Season 4 of the Amazon Prime series is rumored to go live in Spring, which could line up with Season 3 or 4 of Modern Warfare III.
