MW3 & Warzone Season 3 begins on April 3rd, at 9am PT, 11am CT, 12pm EST. Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 is here and with it comes a NEW Free Access Event for those who don’t own Modern Warfare III. Today, we will go over download sizes, start and ending times, and more for playing MW3 during Free Access! Ready to play MWIII? Here’s what you need to know:
HOW CALL OF DUTY FREE TRIALS WORK
Users on Playstation, Xbox and PC will see a free download option for Call of Duty once the trial begins for the season. As of now, the download size hasn’t been published for the free access period in MW3 Season 3, but that information should be published today, April 4th.
Players won’t need to have an online subscription in order to play during a free access period for Call of Duty, which isn’t expected to change for Modern Warfare 3 Season 3. Regardless of being on Playstation or Xbox, players should be able to play online without having PS Plus or an Xbox subscription.
FREE TRIAL START & END TIMES
Activision confirmed that players can jump into Modern Warfare 3 Season Three for free starting on April 4th at 10am PT, while the trial concludes on April 8th at 10am PT. During this window, users will have access to limited content in Multiplayer, and the entirety of the Zombies mode.
If players already have Warzone installed, then the free trial should just be an add on for the user’s COD HQ application, allowing a seamless transition from Multiplayer and Zombies to Battle Royale.

The studio confirmed that as apart of the MW3 season 3 free access weekend, players will get access to the following content:

Emergency, Das Haus, Stash House, Rust, Skidgrow, Airbourne, Satan’s Quarry
CORE MODES
Team Deathmatch, Mimic Hordepoint , Domination, Kill Confirmed, Capture The Flag

ZOMBIES GOES FREE TO PLAY IN SEASON THREE
Black Ops Cold War offered free access to both its Round Based and Outbreak modes for a limited time during each season’s free trial period. MW3 Zombies offers an expansive, open world extraction experience which will be completely free during the season three trial.
New dark aether rifts, schematics and Easter eggs have been added over the last few seasons, so free trial players have an extensive amount of content they can play this weekend.
