Originally, Call of Duty 2023 was planned as “Premium DLC” for MWII, but later evolved into its own premium title. It’s unclear to what extent Infinity Ward or other studios are helping, but it’s been heavily implied that Modern Warfare 3 is an “all hands on deck” title. Considering Sledgehammer would’ve only had just under two years to produce this game after Call of Duty: Vanguard (2021); as always, remember that everything is subject to change from now until launch.
