Modern Warfare 3’s Reveal Event brought us TONS of info on MW3’s Zombies Mode. Modern Warfare III seems to be the game fans of the franchise have been asking for. Get ready for MWIII Zombies. Here’s what you need to know:
BIGGEST MAP YET
According to Call of Duty; Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies experience will have the biggest map for Zombies yet! Unsure yet if it’s the Warzone map for MW3 repurposed, or it’s own map. Regardless, it’s intriguing!
There’s also rumors that during the final act of a story in Zombies, you will be taken to a smaller map separate from the bigger map! (Similar to DMZ Koschei Complex!)
STORYLINE INFORMATION
MW3 Zombies is a Treyarch led project that follows the Dark Aether storyline that started in Black Ops Cold War!
There are two factions now: “Deadbolts” (Your faction), and “Terminus Outcomes” (enemy faction). You cannot switch factions. Your job is to stop Terminus from extracting Aether resources from the target zone.
This seems to be the most interactive Zombies experience yet! Taking what Outbreak in Cold War started and giving it an entire field to run on.
NEW AND OLD ENEMIES
MW3 Zombies features a BUNCH of returning enemies from the Zombies Franchise! This info is thanks to MrDalekJD!
Of course we’ll get the classic Zombies that you’ll encounter around the map, but for the first time in Zombies history, you’ll also have Human enemies that will attack you!
There is NO PVP, so you’ll only need to worry about enemy AI!
NEW ZONES
In MW3 Zombies, there are Zones that determine what enemies you fight, how strong they are, and what rewards you’ll earn.
There are certain zones that you can find that won’t have ANY Humans, so make sure you’re prepared.
PVE SYSTEM
Like we said before, there’s NO PVP. You can pair up with a squad of 4 and have a max of 6 players on one team (possibly due to Assimilation from DMZ). There will be 24 players on the map that you can team up with!
You will only have 60 minutes on the map; once the timer hits zero, you’ll HAVE to exfil (just like in DMZ)!
If you exfil, you can keep all your perks, equipment, weapons, etc. to use in the next deployment! We assume PVE will be harder this time around, so make sure you’re equipped correctly!
ECONOMY SYSTEM
MW3 Zombies will include an Economy System similar to DMZ!
Just like DMZ, you can earn a type of currency for use of buying perks, scorestreaks, etc. in your Zombies matches! You can also complete contracts just like in DMZ and Outbreak to earn Essence!
No word on if the wallet will return, but surely they will carry over many DMZ features since this mode takes some inspiration from it!
