Season 3 of Black Ops 6 releases on April 2nd at 9AM PT, 11AM CT, & 12 PM EST. Season 3 brings good tidings for Sniper Rifle fans, as the HDR will be returning to Call of Duty! Last seen in Modern Warfare (2019), players will have a chance to use this weapon again, or for the first time for some. Today, we’re going over every method you can unlock the HDR in Black Ops 6 & Warzone. Here’s what you need to know:
Caution: Snipers Ahead
The ever-popular HDR Sniper Rifle will be returned to the hands of new & old players alike with the launch of Season 3. Veteran Verdansk players will remember how powerful & menacing this weapon can be when used by the right opposition. The HDR kept players keeping their heads down when faced with an uphill battle, as the HDR would blow it clean off!
The HDR Sniper joins a plethora of returning content coming with Season 3, including 2 other weapons. these being the Kilo 141 & the CR-56 AMAX. Be sure to check out our guides on how to unlock them KILO: HERE & AMAX: HERE. But how do you unlock the HDR Sniper Rifle? Let’s take a look at the methods you can use.
How To Unlock
The HDR will be available to unlock & use Day 1 of Season 3 in Black Ops 6 & Warzone. Here are the different methods you can use to unlock the HDR & find the perfect vantage point to scope out your enemies:
Battle Pass Page
You’ll be able to unlock the base version of the HDR through the Battle Pass on Page 3. It will be the HVT reward of the page. In order to claim it, you’ll have to earn all of the other rewards first, then it will become accessible.
Battle Pass Page 11
The second method to earn the HDR is through Page 11 of the Battle Pass. There will be a blueprint of the HDR you can unlock using Battle Pass tokens. Surprisingly it’s not an HVT reward like the base version of the weapon is. With the blueprint unlocked from Page 11, you’ll have permanent use of the weapon, even if the base weapon isn’t unlocked.
Armory
If you’re unable to complete the Battle Pass, or the page containing the base HDR you’ll likely be able to earn it through the armory once Season 3 ends. This usually happens with base weapons if players don’t earn the weapon within the season.
