How to Unlock The DNA Bomb in Modern Warfare 3 | New Season 4 Killstreak

Fans of Advanced Warfare (2014) will be able to relive the feeling of calling in a DNA bomb within Modern Warfare 3 Season 4. The DNA bomb killstreak is returning to Call of Duty multiplayer with MW3 Season 4 on May 29th. Details are mysterious for earning the DNA bomb, but it’ll without a doubt spice up Modern Warfare II in exciting and nostalgic ways. Here’s everything we know about the MWIII Season 4 DNA bomb killstreak:

THE ADVANCED WARFARE DNA BOMB

Advanced Warfare introduced the DNA bomb, which was much different from the tactical nuke from prior Call of Duty titles. Unlike the nuke which typically required 25 consecutive kills to earn, the DNA bomb required 30 kills and didn’t end a player’s game.

Green mist would cover the map after the explosion, which rewarded the highest skilled players in Advanced Warfare multiplayer. Up until now, the DNA bomb hasn’t been seen in over a decade.

THE MW3 DNA BOMB

Much to everyone’s surprise, a DNA bomb was confirmed in the Season 4 roadmap for Modern Warfare 3. This new iteration of the killstreak is described as a tremendous explosion which eliminates all players on the opposing team. Unlike the MGB, the DNA Bomb will not conclude the match.

HOW TO EARN THE DNA BOMB

Players will first need to acquire the DNA bomb killstreak from their arsenal menu, along with other streaks being added in Season 4. Winning matches of Multiplayer or completing contracts in Zombies and Warzone will grant the armory points needed to unlock a new killstreak.

It’s unknown if the DNA bomb has to be equipped in the killstreak menu, or if it’ll just be a secret unlock while in game. The blogpost mentioned that players must acquire enough consecutive kills without dying. The MGB already requires 30 kills, so maybe the DNA bomb will require just ten more.

IS THIS A LIMITED TIME KILLSTREAK

Considering the DNA theme of Season 4, it’s fair for players to assume this DNA bomb won’t be a permanent addition to MW3. The blogpost doesn’t specify if this is a temporary add on, but it’s unlikely Sledgehammer has any interest in removing content like this post Season 4.

Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how the DNA bomb affects gameplay once called in, and how many players will be able to earn in one life.
