How to Unlock Gilded Thorn Camo in Black Ops 6 Season 4

‘Glided Thorn’ Camo in Black Ops 6
Dataminer by the name of @HeyImAlaix on Twitter posted a screenshot of what looks to be a none animated camo called the ‘Gilded Thorn’ which was currently unattainable. We now know that the Gilded Thorn Camo in Black Ops 6 will be available through a COD Shop purchase, only a few days after the Season released. Any player will be able to unlock this camo if they follow the steps listed below, and if you’re quick enough!
How To Claim ‘Gilded Thorn’ Camo in Black Ops 6 Season 4
The ‘Gilded Thorn’ Camo in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 can only be unlocked through purchasing any item on the Call of Duty Shop Website from June 2nd until June 30th. There is no minimum price needed to receive the Gilded Thorn Camo, any purchase of any amount will have a Code emailed to you up to 5 days after the initial purchase date, which can then be claimed on CallofDuty.com/redeem like previous redemption codes.
The cheapest purchase on the COD Shop is the ‘Jugger-Nog Hat Hat Pin‘ for $7 USD. This product will also supply a code for the ‘Juggerlicious Weapon Charm’ available to use in Black Ops 6 as well.
Treyarch taking Event Camo Feedback into Consideration
During the Season 4 creator call with Treyarch, creators did raise their concerns on players not having valuable rewards from completing these events compared to what we were rewarded for completing said event during MW3’s lifecycle.
The developers response to this question was very underwhelming as they stated, the main Live Ops Team behind the event rewards weren’t even present during the zoom meeting. It’s unclear why there’s a disconnect with the community’s feedback, considering we’ve already seen valuable event rewards during MW3s post-launch.
It’s additionally concerning to why things have changed behind the scenes with the Black Ops 6 event rewards but we could only assume it has something to do with Treyarch having full focus on Black Ops 7 as the game is slated to release later this year.
Prestige Camos Returning in Black Ops 6?
During Modern Warfares 3’s post-launch we were introduced to Prestige Camos. Prestige Camos were essentially, tied to the armory unlock system where you had to level up a certain weapon to max level to unlock its full camo challenge set.
These Prestige Camos were astonishing, and Sledgehammer did a really good job keeping players intrigued in continuing to play MW3 during its life-cycle.
- Warzone Seasonal Camos
Warzone Seasonal camos were essentially camos obtainable by completing weapon-specific or general gameplay challenges during seasonal events or throughout the season. Some required using certain types of weapons (assault rifles, or SMGs) to get a specific number of kills, headshots, or perform kills while moving/sliding/etc.
These Camos didn’t look as good compared to the Prestige Camos we got in MW3’s Multiplayer but still more valuable than the rewards we are getting inside of Black Ops 6.
