Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to release later this year & as of now, no preorders have gone live just yet. However, new developments have surfaced that could hint we’re getting preorders for BO7 here soon. New operators have been found, as well as preorder camos & more. Today, we’re going over everything we know so far about the BO7 preorders, preorder incentives, & potential preorder release dates for Black Ops 7. Here’s what you need to know:
Preorders Imminent for Black Ops 7
Recently, Black Ops 7 was added to the all games tab of the COD HQ Menu. With that being said, it’s speculated that preorders are imminent, & will likely be hitting platforms & retailers very soon. GameStop has coming soon pages for BO7, meaning they’re prepping for preorders as well. This would change up from recent Call of Duty title preorder dates as in recent years, they’ve either been in June or August.

COD games that receive a little less Dev time than others tend to be revealed later on in the year with preorders going live later in the summer. Black Ops 7 could be another within that category. Here are the preorder dates for recent entries in the franchise:
- Black Ops: Cold War – August 26th
- MW2 – June 8th
- MW3 – August 17th
- Black Ops 6 – June 9th
With Gamescon coming up on August 19th, we will see Black Ops 7 kicking off opening night. Perhaps it’s a situation like BO6 where after the Xbox Showcase, preorders went live. That would put preorders for BO7 in August. It initially was speculated preorders would go live on June 20th in correspondence with BO2’s Cordis Die, however, this did not happen.
Leaked Operators for Black Ops 7
Recently, leaker @RealityUk over on Twitter found lines of code for 3 operators potentially coming to BO7. It’s worth noting that each line of code contains the label SAT, which is Saturn. Saturn is the internal codename for BO7. These operators currently are named Maroon, Yellow, Azure. These do sound like separate operators, rather than variants of one Operator/Operator Skin.
Returning 2 the BO7 operators in BO6:

• sat_usa_pl_maroon (probably Mason due to the m)
• sat_eth_pl_yellow
• sat_usa_pl_azure
haven't seen people try and decipher whom these are so someone give it a go or else
Speculation has run rampant with who these operators could be, especially for fan favorites from BO2. There’s the likelihood that we see David Mason as an operator. Harper would make sense as an operator within BO7 as well. We have to see Menendez as an operator within BO7 at some point as well. We’ll likely see Alex Mason in flashbacks, so we may potentially see him as an operator inside of Black Ops 7.
Though, it could also be a similar case to when Woods was added as a preorder bonus for BO6. Where if you preordered BO6, & completed various XP challenges in MW3, you’d get the base version of Woods, as well as a Zombified Skin, & a Numbers Skin. Those skins carried forward into BO6.
There’s also the possibility of these being part of the Vault Edition Operators. These only being available during the beta & launch of BO7, & not a part of BO6 at all. We’ll know more once the game &/or vault edition is revealed.
Camo Pack Preorder Bonus for Black Ops 7
With the recent release of Season 4 Reloaded, it looks as though our first preorder bonus for BO6/BO7 has been found by @Alaix over on Twitter. This could be similar to the ‘Reflect 115’ preorder bonus camo from last year with MW3/BO6. For those who don’t remember, ‘Reflect 115’ was bonus camo you could unlock in MW3 for preordering Black Ops 6. It could be applied to any MW3 weapon of your choice. Oddly enough, the camo didn’t carry over onto BO6, & you couldn’t apply it to any BO6 weapons.
That preorder camo pack back then came with some extras for MWZ. However, since Zombies no longer runs off the MWZ mechanics, maybe they throw some Gobblegums with it instead. It’s currently unknown at this time of the camo will be strictly BO6, carry over into BO7, or strictly be for Black Ops 7.
